When I first met  @drachnik  (Alex Drachnik, Drax), she was a personal trainer, a nutritionist, a production assistant on major network TV, and a blossoming TikTok personality. This is, of course, after finding success as a body builder and a concert photographer.

After gaining 1 million TikTok followers in just one month, Alex has truly carved out her space in the social media world. Now, she’s the founder of  @draxsocial , a full-service production agency specializing in short-form content for major brands and personal brands alike. With a passion for entertaining and educating the world, Alex is here to share her story, insights, and tips on mastering the social media landscape. Since learning how to DJ during the pandemic, KAYA's blend of lush chords and hard drops has led him across North America sharing the decks with the likes of Pete Tong, HUGEL, deadmau5, MEDUZA, Kaleena Zanders, KREAM, Joel Corry, SNBRN, Todd Edwards, A-Trak, and others. His music has been supported at the world's biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, and EDC Las Vegas, with releases on Ultra Records, Quincy Boy Records, Groove Bassment, and Phantoms’ new label, Speed Dial.

Dedicated to his craft, KAYA continues to hone his skills both in the studio and on stage, solidifying his place in the electronic music scene one fan at a time.

On easily the highest-energy episode of The Racket House Podcast to date, I sat down with the Disco demon himself, The @goshfather

Victor, aka The Goshfather, is a San Francisco-based artist who’s shaking up the electronic music scene by blending disco, funk, and tech house into a sound that’s truly his own. Inspired by legends like Daft Punk and Duck Sauce, Goshfather has earned residencies across the U.S., toured globally, and, in 2023, challenged himself to release a new track every single week—a challenge he crushed. His music has been supported by names like Bingo Players, Dr. Fresch, and Diplo, and he’s racking up hundreds of thousands of downloads on his music.

I'd never met Goshfather today but I wanted him on because he popped up on my social media feeds earlier this year and then I started seeing him everywhere. I love how dialed in his brand is - the head-banging disco junkie with a distinct look and outfit. His social media is both inspiring and hilarious. He's always offering tips and insights to artists. He made it on his own by releasing tons of music and staying active on socials and he's got a big personality.

The convo got intense in the best way as we discussed the state of the music industry and what artists need to do to be successful. You can tell how passionate Goshfather is and I love him for it. PROTECT THIS MAN AT ALL COSTS!

Kay Cote is the founder of Amplify EDM and ‪@ampedcast‬. The Classy raver herself is a community builder connecting the world of dance music in Texas. She does this by throwing music events and hosting her live podcast, AMPEDCast, shot in front of a studio audience. She believes in giving dance  artists a platform to not only share their music, but also to share their stories. Kay’s events also serve the nonprofit and corporate worlds that are highly curated and tailored to her clients’ needs.

It's our decade episode! Welcome to the 10th episode of The Racket House Podcast where two things are true: we had some serious technical difficulties and we also had on a rising star in the dance and electronic world, our friend  @kaysin.

Real name Nick Sommers, Nick was kind enough to give some of his time out of his busy day to share his story and offer some top-tier advice for those in the music space. And when I say busy day, I'm not kidding - as Nick is the head A&R for  @RepopulateMars   - one of the biggest labels in dance music. Nick is also a budding star, DJing and producing under the alias Kaysin. At the time of recording, Kaysin was preparing for a headlining show at the famous Sound Nightclub in LA, as well as a show the following week for his debut in Philly. 

Nick is one of the nicest and smartest guys in dance music and that's probably why he's gotten so far. Oh yeah, and he's a damn good DJ and producer. He talks about his early days in music, how he got to where he is today, tips and tricks for artists, and what the future holds for the Kaysin project.

Since their formation in 2018, Oskar and Aleks have released over 50 tracks across prominent labels such as their own @lowceiling, Nervous Records, Repopulate Mars, Spinnin’ and Insomniac. 

Their debut album THE STATEMENT released in 2023, features 13 tracks that showcase their genre-blending style and dedication to the dance floor. With a sound that blends elements of techno, indie dance, progressive, and afro house, their tracks have garnered support from industry heavyweights like Tiësto, Armin van Buuren, and James Hype plus hitting #1 on the coveted Beatport charts. 

Beyond their music, they're founders of the label LOW CEILING, which has released hundreds of songs since 2019 and consistently pushes boundaries while delivering bombs to the dance floor. 

In this episode the duo discuss how they met (hint: one was a fan of the other), how they're breaking into new markets, how they think about signing music to the label, how they promote new releases, and advice they'd give to DJs just starting out.

From an early age it’s been about the rhythm section for Racket Club. Playing drums in bands that covered Rage Against the Machine and Deftones, Racket Club’s style has since morphed into what he calls Disco-Tech: a little Disco, a little Tech, and everything in between. He has an affinity for bouncy House music bass lines with female and hip hop vocals and you know he’s going to throw down in the club having done it for nearly 15 years, at venues like Sound Nightclub LA, Academy LA, Audio San Francisco, House of Blues, Lost Beach Club (Ecuador), Slate New York, and Zuma Boston. 

Racket Club has played support for and alongside heavy hitters HoneyLuv, Gene Farris, Westend, DJ Susan, OFFAIAH, Pickle, and Zen Freeman and he’s been on the bill for Groove Cruise, Wicked Paradise, Space Yacht, Hood Politics, Framework, and even Mammoth Mountain.

On the production side Racket Club’s released a flurry of edits that have gone viral on SoundCloud including his Beyoncé edit that’s approaching 50K streams and has aired on BBC Radio 1. He’s also had releases on Top Shelf Disco and Quincy Boy Records, with a release on Hood Politics out Spring 2023.

Former member of the record label Top Shelf Disco, a founder of the event series Pizza & Techno plus a co-founder of the music blog My Music Is Better Than Yours, Racket Club is no stranger to the electronic music world.
