Watching Trees festival took place in Forest of Dean over the weekend of 2-4 September 2022. A collaboration between Optimo and Ransom Note, with Funktion One handling the sound.

Planet Caravan was a cocktail bar dreamed up by Tracks E7 in Forest Gate, London. Nestled in the woods with a team of specialist DJs at the controls throughout Watching Trees festival.

Amsterdam's Mr Mendel has perfected the art of modernising the classics with his organic approach to mixing and editing. It was quite a switch from Hip-Hop to Soul, Disco and Afro music but we're sure as hell glad he made it. You can catch Mr Mendel spinning some sexy tunes at a number of Amsterdam's finest nights such as I Love Vinyl, Wicked Jazz Sounds and Doka, plus he also curates the Tropical mix for music discovery channel 22Tracks Amsterdam. He'll be making an appearance at Southport Weekender early this May so head on over if you want to get down to some funky grooves.

The man behind Magic Feet rekkids and eBay's profits on the rising trade from analogue to modular synths, he has been making us dance less awkwardly and chuckle more frequently for many years now. After a relaxing winter sojourn spent on his yacht (moored off the Gibraltan coast, near Skegness), he had his PA reach out to us with, faxing us two mixtapes. Here is the first, ripe and fruity like one of his finest vintage Blue Nun's.

Bawrut and Chico Blanco join forces for a meeting of minds between Madrid and Granada and is remixed by Super Drama, Kristy Harper and Beigean along the way. Originally an outing on the Pen Pals compilation in Spring last year, the love affair between Bawrut and Chico Blanco has deepened ever further on this release. Their collaboration has been reworked by friends near and far Super Drama, Beigean, Kristy Harper and Chico himself.
