Canis x Sirius debut on Vibe City with Liquid DnB Heater ‘Cold Ways’ A Festival Season Finale Like No Other!

As we proudly welcome back one of the most exciting duos in Drum & Bass: Canis x Sirius. 

Their brand new EP, ‘Cold Ways’, drops this August as a four-track masterclass in emotionally charged, atmospheric DnB that’s built to close out festival season in unforgettable fashion.

Canis x Sirius first made waves in late 2024 with their standout appearance on the Vibe City compilations under Dirtbox Recordings, a moment that helped spark the idea for Vibe City to evolve into a full-fledged label. 

Their cinematic sound, blending deep rolling grooves with emotive melodies, immediately resonated with fans and DJs alike. 

Fast forward to 2025, and the father-son duo have gone from strength to strength. Following the release of two highly-praised solo EPs on Dirtbox earlier this year, UKF took notice, sitting down with the pair for an intimate Father’s Day feature that explored their journey as a family carving out a name in the ever-evolving DnB landscape.

Now, with their third EP of the year, Canis x Sirius return to where it all began, delivering a project that embodies the heart of the Vibe City mission: rich, melodic, and forward-thinking Liquid Drum & Bass.

A nod to their roots, and a bold step into the next chapter of their rise.

We made it!

This marks the third and final promo drop for the last four tracks in the 2025 edition of the Dirtbox Recordings Tape Pack project.

Over the course of the year, Argentinian producer Noise Souls has delivered a diverse and electrifying array of tech-influenced drum and bass, contributing 12 powerful tracks that have shaken speakers across the globe.

We’re now entering the final stretch of the project, with four final tracks that promise to close out the series in true Dirtbox style.

The Sequence series continues the legacy started in 2024 with Procedure by The Fi5th, and Iteration by Shayper, two blistering runs of cutting-edge drum and bass that set the tone for what this project would become.

A new single from the featured artist drops on the 1st of each month, leading up to the full album
release in January 2026.

We’re incredibly proud of what this project has become, and we can’t wait to show you what’s

Dirtbox Recordings proudly welcomes the powerhouse duo of Dunk and Rebel.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll already be familiar with rising Brazilian star Dunk.

A producer who has been dominating the corner of Drum and bass focused on deep, rolling and
heads down minimalist sound, with floor-destroying tracks that have resonated with crowds worldwide.

Dunk’s music has graced an impressive roster of labels including Formation Records, Vandal,
Spearhead, Souped Up, Critical V Recordings, Playaz, and many more.

It’s a true pleasure to finally have him making his Dirtbox debut.

Joining him is Rebel. Whilst not new to drum & bass, Rob (aka Rebel) has been tearing up dance
floors as a DJ, and as a raver since the mid-90s.

More recently, he’s been flexing his production skills, collaborating with talents like Tactic and Dunk to deliver absolute weapons for the scene.

Now, the two unite on Dirtbox Recordings for Decoding The Cypher, delivering three heavyweight
DNB tracks that showcase the duo’s raw energy, technical mastery, and unmistakable vibe.

Spotlighting international Drum and Bass talent and the diverse sonic flavours they bring from their corners of the globe, this will not be the last we see and hear of the duo together.

1/ Dunk & Rebel- “Cypher”

The release opens with an absolute dancefloor weapon.

Dunk and Rebel deliver a cleverly engineered club rocker, and Cypher wastes no time getting under your skin with funky, rolling percussion and a nostalgic blast of classic ’90s synths, bass, and hoovers.

The groove is relentless, pure funk-driven energy that keeps the head-nodding crew locked in and moving straight through until sunrise.

2/ Dunk & Rebel- “The Deadlights”

Hold tight, crew, `The Deadlights` is something special. 

The duo bring serious classic vibes here, opening with wobbling FX and bass layers as thick and
heavy as a woolly mammoth’s coat.

The energy ramps up with a quicker pace, pulling the dancefloor’s eyes to the booth before
slamming into heavyweight basslines and rapid-fire percussion.

It’s a track built to drag everyone straight to the front.

3/ Dunk- “Karma”

"Karma!" kicks off exactly how you’d expect from a solo Dunk track, with precision, grit, and style. The percussion is pure junglist fire, intricate and razor-sharp, riding over a deep, minimal bassline locked into that unmistakable Dunk groove. Massive, mammoth-like bass roars erupt every few bars, growling through the speakers and demanding attention.

It’s a bold, chest-rattling opener that caps the release off in truly breathtaking fashion.

Hot on the heels of August’s explosive Cities 4, Dirtbox Recordings proudly unveils the next installment in its globally celebrated drum & bass series: Cities 5.

This latest edition brings two heavyweight debuts to the label, as Filthy Philp steps up from Bedford, UK, and gANGLADESH represents The Colony, Texas, USA.

The Cities EP series is dedicated to showcasing the finest drum & bass talent from around the world, with each episode spotlighting artists and the unique sounds born from their hometowns.

From gritty UK jungle rollers to high-octane American energy, Cities 5 once again proves that drum & bass is a truly international movement.

Label founder Lee UHF shares: “The Cities series has always been about giving artists a platform to bring their city’s sound to the world. With Filthy Philp bringing raw UK jungle riddims and gANGLADESH representing Texas with unapologetic firepower, Episode 5 is one of our most diverse and exciting yet.”

1/ Filthy Philp- “Bad Bwoi”

Liam, better known as Filthy Philp, has been a force in drum & bass since his 2017 debut, diving headfirst into the genre’s rich history before quickly making his mark worldwide.

From tours across Australia and Asia to releases on respected imprints like GTA, Gorilla Warfare, and his own Trigga Fingaz Records, Philp has built a reputation for bringing raw energy and authenticity to the genre between 160 and 170bpm.

His latest cut, “Bad Bwoi,” is a pure statement of intent, an explosive dancehall/drum & bass crossover that captures everything Filthy Philp stands for.
Ragga vocals and Jamaican-inspired instrumentation thread through the intro, as trumpets and amen breaks collide beneath the commanding call of “Bad bwoi sound.” The result is a heavyweight roller built for the dance, unapologetically loud and brimming with Philp’s trademark style.

2/ gANGLADESH- “Just A Gangster”

Dallas-born producer gANGLADESH arrives with a sound that’s as raw and unapologetic as his roots.

Coming up through hip-hop and trap, he cut his teeth making beats for rappers before turning his focus to drum & bass, bringing with him a streetwise energy that sets his productions apart.

The result is an unmistakably American take on 170, built on heavy basslines and grit, but delivered with club-ready precision.

His debut on Dirtbox, “Just a Gangster,” is a no-nonsense jump-up weapon designed to detonate dancefloors.

Chunky, rolling basslines collide with hard-edged drums and swaggering vocal chops, creating a track that straddles hip-hop attitude and DnB aggression. It’s a heavyweight statement of intent, a banger that will turn heads and announce gANGLADESH as a serious new contender in the global scene.
