Jean Dominique Penel est arrivé en  Centrafrique à la fin des années 60. Il y a enseigné pendant une douzaine d'années. Il a ensuite enseigné la littérature au Niger,  à Djibouti et en Gambie. Tout cela sur 37 ans. Il a produit de nombreux ouvrages de recherche sur la littérature orale, sur les littératures des pays cités. Nous allons vous proposer plusieurs entretiens avec Jean Dominique Penel pour découvrir un peu plus les lettres africaines avec un auteur ayant une approche singulière, tant administrativement que techniquement. Par ce premier épisode, nous essayerons d'en savoir plus sur le parcours d'un jeune homme né en île-de-France vers le coeur du continent africain.
