"Mirror" is a haunting 126 BPM beat in D# minor, featuring eerie yet groovy synth melodies layered over a bouncy hip-hop trap rhythm. Sinister sound effects and haunting violin and brass accents add to the dark vibe, while powerful basslines and 808s drive the low end, creating an intense, immersive atmosphere.

The vocals, sampled from Natali Noor, are chopped, pitched, and distorted to craft a mind-bending, transcendental listening experience. The contrast between the pitched up and down vocals portray a battle between light and dark.

This track delves deep into the theme of dysmorphic self-perception - the perception of oneself as a monster. It represents a dissociative experience in which self-identity is distorted, as if looking in a mirror and questioning whether the frightening reflection is a true representation of yourself.

My reinterpretation of Natali Noor's lyrics tells the story of somebody terrified, pleading for their "mama" as they face "the monster in [their] bed" - they sleep alone... They look in the mirror and see only "bad news" and "nothing there", symbolizing their twisted self-image.

The listener is forced to confront the question: Is the monster within you real, or is it a manifestation of external pressures and influences?
