As cheesy as it sounds this is illustrating the incontrollable power of strong disorientating feelings through moments of tears, harmony and passion. A lot of these intense emotions came in and out of the making of this one <3

Playground anthem with true ATL trap bounce: hard 808s, bell-lead motif, and dense triplet flows that tour dodgeball, hopscotch, monkey bars, kickball, and the last-bell dap. Sung crowd stacks on the hook, rap verses in the pocket, and a short water-break bridge to breathe then blast back in. Clean, kid-safe, parent-approved; made to loop.

Recess Royale

Swedish DJ, producer and songwriter Johan Blende debuts on Hell Yeah with a journey to the heart of a grown-up dancefloor in the Med.

Blende is a master of mixing up retro 70s and 80s sound into modern dancefloor delights. He's been doing it for two decades on a wide range of cultured labels from Studio Barnhus to Eskimo, always with a rare charm and leftfield perceptive. With this EP, he taps into the magic of hazy afternoons turning into euphoric evenings by the sea.

'Off To Mallorca' jangles with taught bass notes and sunburnt vocals. Distant synths glow, the jumbled percussion injects just the right dose of ass-wiggling funk and this playful yet sophisticated cut builds toward a blissful rapture. 'Television' ups the ante with prickly acid panning about the mix over sleazy, low-slung drums. Tension simmers as edgy synth motifs stalk the groove and anticipation builds before the whole thing explodes into a cosmic disco payoff. It's raw, unpredictable, and perfect for when things start to get a little weird.

'Como No Brasil' gazes skyward and basks in a wash of shimmering melodies and breezy, wordless vocals that drift like clouds over layered, sun-drenched rhythms. It’s a dreamy, tropical float until a surprise acid storm rolls in and moves things from tranquil paradise to dancefloor hypnosis. Finally, 'Carousel Bagatelle' is a layered, late-night trip that feels both playful and introspective. Hypnotic synths swirl around screwy acid lines and supple, dubbed-out house drums that spin you into a daze.

Blende’s debut on Hell Yeah lands like a postcard from a perfect party - sun-dazed, acid-kissed and endlessly replayable.

Recess has been in a long term love affair with Seattle’s underground music scene for the past couple of decades. In the late 80′s he found his second home at the long defunct Club Underground in Seattle’s University District (along with DJ Dominator aka Donald Glaude, DJ Dan and many others). During the 90s he bounced between raves, rock shows and jazz clubs appreciating the passion and community behind the scenes. Using these early experiences as a platform, he started collecting records and honing his skills at various clubs around the Northwest; quickly establishing himself as a formidable performer. 

In 2003 he founded Shameless Productions (responsible for numerous legendary underground club nights, parties and shenanigans). Along with a changing cast of players, over the years, Shameless established itself as a trust worthy brand by throwing some of the most memorable events the Seattle's undergound dance music community. From day one, each Shameless party was a special one regardless of the wide ranges of genres and bookings represented. With an eye towards the cutting edge, but deep respect for electronic music's rich history, Shameless has kept it's finger on the pulse of Seattle's underground for close to 20 years. 

In 2006 Recess was nominated as one of Seattle Weekly's best local DJs. His DJ sets often reflect Shameless' aesthetic by focusing on forward thinking music while cherishing the gems of the past. He'll span the various sub genres of house/disco music, and also weave through techno, electro, breaks depending upon the party. His range, passion and deep understanding of the dancefloor has made him a longtime favorite underground club DJ in Seattle and the greater Northwest. KANTIBUS is an American producer/songwriter who has been creating songs since 1990.

It is a portmanteau of his first initial and last name. 

KANTIBUS started creating what would eventually become known as Drill or Trap Music, demonstrating expertise in both genres. 

As such, he is a pioneer of the "violent real life criminal" styles that exist still in the underground today.
