Russia spectacular failure to conquer the Ukrainian capital two years ago is now a distant memory. On the two year anniversary since Russia’s invasion, Ukraine is running out of troops as well as western support and calls for negotiations are only growing. US and European attempts to sanction, isolate and cripple Russia have failed to succeed. The broad support from the West that promised ‘as long as it takes’ has now given way to war fatigue. A Western-Ukrainian victory is looking allusive on the second anniversary of the conflict.

Russia on Top After Two Years of War

It's a rock version of 'White army and black Baron' or 'The Red Army is the Strongest' which is a marching song written by 'Pavel Grigorievich Gorinshtejn' (1895–1961, a.k.a. Pavel Gorin, Pavel Grigoriev) and composed by Samuil Pokrass (1897–1939) in 1920 During the Russian Civil War (1917-1922). The immediate context of the song is the final Crimean offensive in the Russian Civil War by Pyotr Wrangel's troops in July 1920. The second verse refers to the call to a final effort in the Crimea published by the Revolutionary Military Council in Pravda on 10 July. While the song has a separate refrain, the verses repeat the claim that "The Red Army is stronger than all", which came to be the song's conventional title. he song was first printed in 1925, and subsequently published under the titles of От тайги до британских морей ("From the Taiga to the British Seas"), Красная Армия ("Red Army") and Красноармейская ("[Song] of the Red Army"). It was not until 1937 that the conventional title had settled on Красная Армия всех сильней ("The Red Army is the Strongest"). During the 1920s to 1940s, the song was reproduced without indication of its authors. It was only in the 1950s that musicologist A. Shilov established the authorship of Gorinshtejn and Pokrass.

Started this mockup-like track soundmining 8dio choirs. Suddenly felt a craving for a Hunt for the Red October / Rachmaninov kind of thing and added Olympus Choirs, made by Soundiron, to it. Getting the vocal sounds right. Olympus (men's choir) yielded phrases from a well known chant about Maria, believed to be mother of Jesus. A more recent saviour? Seek out Vasily Arkhipov. A man nowadays profoundly unknown, yet he singlehandedly saved our all lives, back in 1962. This song is about steadfastness and faith in all what is good in men. On whatever side you are.
