This song is about remembering my mother on her birthday who passed away years ago.

This song grew out of my blog themes on silence, nostalgia, and moving on. It’s about learning to understand my emotions, accept how much the world changes, and realizing that sometimes what you love most becomes just a feeling you chase. This is a song I wrote and composed to a large degree, and used AI to sing for me.

This is the first song that I wrote for and about Billie Gayle after we lost touch. It was 40 years ago, so I have a hard time remembering what happened. I think we both just went our own separate ways. But I'll never forget her, or what we shared, and I miss her to this very day.

We all carry something ancient within us—a promise made before memory, a purpose that calls to us through the noise of daily life. "The Secret Vow" is a heavy blues meditation on the profound loss we feel when we've forgotten why we're here.

Drawing from the Buddhist teaching of the Bodhisattva vow—the commitment to return to this world of conflict to benefit all beings—this song explores what happens when life's preoccupations bury that sacred purpose so deep it becomes a secret even to ourselves. The weight we carry isn't a burden to escape, but a key waiting to unlock our deepest calling.

Through haunting fingerpicked guitar, wailing slide, and raw vocal testimony, the song journeys from confusion and heaviness toward the breakthrough moment of remembering. It's about waking up to the realization that we didn't come here by accident—we came on purpose, with purpose.

For anyone who's ever felt simultaneously lost and called, burdened by a mission they can't quite name, preoccupied by a thousand distractions while something sacred whispers from beneath it all—this song is for you.

This is a song to remind us all to never forget those men & women in the Armed Forces that chose to dedicate their lives to protecting us & our freedoms. Remember them as you sit down with your families, because they can't be with their families due to the sacrifices they made. And NEVER forget those who have made the ultimate sacrifice & have given their lives in service. 

This is dedicate to the memory & honor of my nephew CPL James Ismael Almonte - USMC, Persian Gulf, lost to PTSD/Suicide after serving his country proudly. 4/24/81 - 12/24/07... Semper Fi nephew. Please support your local Military Veteran Services so no one else has to feel so alone...

I’m mainly a painter, although I can play simple tunes on the Guitar, Ukulele Charango and Keyboards; hence I think of my musical compositions as ‘sound paintings.’ When I’m creating a new piece I try to picture the scene and the emotions in my mind. The descriptions and the uploaded images are there to assist the listener to visualise my musical creation.  My view of any kind of art be it painting, sculpture or music, is that it should leave an impression, whether it is good or bad is up to the individual viewer or listener. The viewer/listener either likes it or not. I always have music playing (sometimes I even dance to the music) while I’m painting, as it keeps me in the mood of that particular artistic piece.  My main musical influences are Jean Michel Jarre, Frank Zappa, Los Calchakis, Tchaikovsky and The Rolling Stones. I also create small sculptural pieces, write poetry and short stories plus occasionally photography. . My artistic influences are Van Gogh, the Fauvists such as Matisse, Derain and Vlaminck, French and Nordic Impressionists namely Monet, Cezanne, Munch, Osslund and Erichsen.  Nolde, Kalella, Klimpt, Hokusai, Hundertwasser and  Wu Guangzong have also had an influence on my work.

"DA' Black Sheep" Dan Acosta is the epitome of the "Do It Yourself" (DIY) artist/performer. With many years of touring and performing experience, he has been paying his dues and pouring his blood, sweat, and sometimes tears, into his Performances, Record Label, Multimedia Business (GDA Media Group, LLC), and his many other passions (Songwriting, Graphic Design, Photography, and Professional Wrestling). He is always involved in the local community, taking part in numerous charity events every year. Anyone who knows "The Red & Black" knows that DA' Black Sheep is one of the most dedicated, hard-working performers around. 

With catchy hooks and a simple "in your face" approach to his music, Dan’s songwriting keeps things pure and simple, while tugging on the human heart to make his songs unforgettable to his listeners. He writes from his own life experiences and tries to relate to each fan through every song - sharing his true feelings and perspectives with them. Across the board, you can feel the emotion and sincerity showcased by his strong songwriting abilities, and his passionate vocal deliveries. DA' Black Sheep is legitimately the quintessential "rock star” for the people. 

Dan also set out to live another one of his childhood dreams, brought about through his dedication to his music - professional wrestling. In March of 2012, he began training to become a professional wrestler, with a school called RingSide Pro-Wrestling, and really solidified himself as "DA' Black Sheep" in the ring as well, using that as his wrestling name - he based his in-ring persona as an extension of who he is, making it more "over-the-top" as his character & gimmick. It all began with Dan writing entrance theme music for some wrestlers he had become friends with most notably former Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Championship Wrestling (WCW), and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Mikey Whipwreck. Whipwreck used Dan's music all throughout the local Indy leagues when he wrestled with a clique known as "The Order Of The Black", along with Dan's other friends, Jeff "Rocky" Hahn (formerly known as "Bad Boy Rocky Shore in WWE), and Louie Fabiano (formerly known as "The NY Brawler" & "Sheik Mohamed Hussein" in WWE & WCW, as well as in Puerto Rico and worldwide), who use another one of Dan's songs when they wrestle for East Coast Pro Wrestling (ECPW), a company Dan himself wrestled for for 12+ years on the East Coast circuit. That opportunity is how Dan was able to segue into the world of professional wrestling and start training under the tutelage of Jeff Hahn. 

As you can see, "DA' Black Sheep" has his hands into just about every aspect of entertainment. He made the leap into "reality television" work, as well as on "the big screen" in movies, television, and he's always looking for new & exciting opportunities. Orange Is The New Black, Ink Master (several episodes & seasons), Ink Master Redemption, Impractical Jokers, Cymbeline (movie), Blue Bloods (TV Series)... the list just keeps growing.
