I wanted to find a way to say thank you to everyone out there who've been keeping the Y2KY dream alive. I figured that rather than just relist all the old stuff, I'll go the extra mile and remaster all the tracks I felt were at least somewhat salvageable for you to enjoy.

Thank you to all the archive channels, all the fans and all the musicians I had the pleasure of working with from 2011 to 2014. I never forgot you guys and I was always thankful for the kind words. Please enjoy and stay tuned because on December 2nd, the new journey begins!

Im modding skyrim once more time, very heavy modlist focus on visual and graphics, but when i was ready to install weapon mods, surprise, i dont find my favourite weapon replacer mod. Good textures, replace vanilla weapons with "medieval options" ... But i cant find it, maybe its creator delete it, F.


so, ive actually found a really nice iron weapon remodel mod that makes the iron weapons look MUCH more appealing, and its not some small color or proportion change, theyre actual completely new and unique models. but im amazed no one has done anything for steel weaponry. any steel weapon changer mod is just slight recolors, resizes, glow effects, etc. idk if there even are any mods that can do this. if anyone has any ideas, PLEASE let me know,


So while I was getting ready to build a modlist. I started stumbling into the world of replacer mods. Of particular interest for me were the ones that replaced the 'unique' vanilla armors and weapons. And which ones would be compatible with other mods, like Legacy of the Dragonborn. I got inspired to seek out more after 4thunknown's Daedric Armor SE mod released and got a replacer patch. So far I have found the following mods.


Here's my suggestion for weapon replacer mods, textures and models.
Generally, I don't go for the high poly super HD weapons first, I tend to stick to vanilla style, preferably optimized models first.
As ever, this is not a complete list, I am not claiming these are the best replacers either, just the one that I am currently enjoying.
The mods are listed in the recommended installation order (for MO2 users, that's your left panel).


This WIP is available on the Thastus Guide page. Includes a replacer for corkbulb and Bonemold ammo as well as spiked club and bonemod arrow : install after the Bonemold Bow Replacer by Remiros and InsanitySorrow's iron and steel replacers if you prefer the models from this WIP.


Vanilla Weapon Replacer - If you want the true medieval skyrim experience like me this is a must, simply top notch stuff. This mod replaces every weapon class with realistic, down-to-earth looking counterpart, not cartoonness at all. Might come as a bit too much for those who don't want to completely eliminate the fantasy though, Better Shaped Weapons is a good alternative.
I personally think the author did a great job to bring diversity that makes sense in each material level.

Replaces: Iron, Steel, Dwarven, Elven, Glass, Orchish, Ebony, Forsworn, Falmer, Daedric, Dragonbone, Nord Hero, Nordic, Draugr (Ancient Nrdic), Dragon Priest Staves, Dawnguard, Stalhrim. All weapon types and arrows.



Honored Dead - a draugr and skeleton model replacer by Proventhug (Thanks for letting me know I missed this one!)
Replaces all the armor and weapons for the draugr and skeletons with assets from NordwarUA and Vaultman30 in an effort to make them look more old-timey but still fit in with the NordwarUA look. Patches available for your other favorite draugr models.


Project NordWarUA by ShadowOfRayden
Replaces: Leather, Fur, Hide, Studded, Iron, Dwarven, Ebony, Wolf, and adds in the Khajiit armor and weapons. Some differences in interpretation from the other base armors replacer mods and optional files to pick and choose individual armors if you want to use some of these with one of the other mods that does the same thing.


NordwarUA's Realistic Armor - No Weapons and Misc. Patches by OmakaruZumee
Same as above, but removes the iron weapon replacers. Also has optional standalone file if you want these alongside the vanilla armors + various patches.


This mod was born with the purpose of fixing the iron sights of all weapons! How? His goal is to adjust the height of the front sights, align them correctly with the rear sight, and add the latter to all weapons that are missing one.
