For Elon, life is about expression, and music is the art form that gives him the best opportunity to express and connect. A perfectionist both in the studio and behind the decks, his sonic odyssey showcases sophistication and intricate detail, resonating with a harmonious depth and unparalleled originality.

With a trail of records and remixes illuminating his path, Elon has carved his name as a luminary producer. From respected venues to illustrious festivals across five continents, his sonic expedition knows no bounds. Collaborating with some of the most talented artists in the industry such as KiNK, Maceo Plex, Alexi Delano and Dario Zenker, Elon's discography is proof of his artistic prowess.

In 2018, Elon embarked on his new broken beat electro project, Joonam, alongside launching his label Balagan, which is now releasing its third installment. With an ear finely tuned to nuances, his live sets are fluid, his productions immaculate—skills honed from his rich tapestry as a sound engineer and musician in Tel Aviv.

Elon moved to New York in 2001 where he played several influential roles in shaping New York's vibrant underground music scene, developing ReSolute brand since 2007 and organised some of the most cutting edge underground events including his own brand, KOLEKTi in 2014 where he fused organic and electronic music into a cohesive and engaging musical blend.

For Elon, quality reigns supreme over quantity. He stands unwavering, true to his art, never bowing to the allure of conformity. In his world, authenticity is king, and his kingdom resonates with the beats of his unyielding spirit.

DJ MIX #630 - Elon (Brooklyn, NY U.S.A.)

This month Nick Cobby @nickcobby is joined by NYC duo Chilly & Gams @chilly_gams for an extended guest mix.

The pair offer a delightful dive into their record collections across 100 mins. The mix is a treasure trove of rare, obscure 90's and early 00's house records with a sprinkling of their other musical influences.

The friends have been mixing and digging in NYC for the past 10 years. They host the rambunctious 'Dialed In' party @dialedin and have recently played shows across Mexico, Europe and Asia.

This mix is an excerpt from a live recording taken from the Resolute @resolutenyc party at NYE.

Field Trips - Rare House Cuts w/ Chilly And Gams

"The first time I played for Resolute at H0l0 I had a rare and overwhelming feeling of being at home. Ever since then they have remained very close to my heart, and so I am overjoyed to be joining them for my transatlantic bookings moving forward. 

To celebrate this new chapter of our journey together, I have made a contribution to their podcast series. This live recording is from Houghton 2024, on a sunny Saturday afternoon at the Tantrum stage, with all my closest people in the front row. It was a special one and so it feels right for my Resolute family to host it.

Focusing on intriguing and hypnotic electronic music from all corners of the globe, Field Trips takes the listener on a seamless journey through dreamy ambient, downtempo, balearic, house, disco and experimental sounds, with a touch of the psychedelic. Special guests are invited to provide 1 hour guest mixes periodically.

Also featured are some of Nick's sets from various gigs and festivals around the world during his 15 years of club DJing and promoting. He is currently based in Mexico City.

ABOUT THE SHOW:

Field Trips began its life as a humble one-off radio show on Balamii Radio in Peckham in 2016, with an all Japanese special hosted by Nick Cobby and Liam Jacquin- showcasing vinyl records bought on recent digging there. This was swiftly followed by a string of 'specials' presenting rumba and funk vinyl gathered from Cuba, Italian disco and South African Jazz to name but a few - interspersed with field recordings captured from the trips.

The radio shows evolved into live gigs and hosting parties in London. This was followed by a yearly party at Bar Bonobo in Tokyo, guest DJ sets at City Boy Lounge in Osaka alongside local Japanese talent, as well as guesting on Tokyo based radio station, Hamon Radio.

Over the years, the Field Trips sound developed past the more focussed 'specials' format to a thoughtful selection of ambient, balearic, IDM and downtempo sounds. Rhythmic, hypnotic and intriguing, with no corner of the globe left untouched.

The show is now streamed live on London's Netil Radio via London and Mexico City by Nick Cobby, with regular guest mixes by local and international talent. This archive features all the shows to date and is updated monthly.
