heavily inspired by HTDC & unworn. dark ambient vibes

between heaven and hell

The Medival city of Basel was built around the Birsig River, the river currently flows underneath foundations of buildings in the city. In the 19 century, the river was covered and disappeared from the surface of the city. 


The author went down to the foundation level of the city and sampled the flowing water of the underground world. Most of the tracks are the result of spectral synthesizing and resonating with the sound of the river itself.

Subcurrent is the result of a direct commission, a sound piece designed for the cultural-culinary event, Hauptpost popup in May 2025, Basel.

Subcurrent - The Birsig

The closer, but not a resolution vedic leaves you suspended. Jazz-like dissonances sneak into the groove, and textures fracture against the steady kick. It’s where Solar Assembly opens out into space, hinting at something larger beyond this release.

Vedic

Solar assembly hits its stride with Anglo. Metallic percussion, shifting stabs, and a bassline that cuts through with intent. There’s a constant push-pull, a refusal to stay still, reflecting my drive to move forward against resistance.

Anglo

Dayanand burns slow, a meditative opener built on thick low-end pulses and evolving atmospheres. The rhythm doesn’t rush.
It coils and expands, drawing you into in.ertia’s orbit. Perfect for setting the floor into motion, it’s both grounding and expansive.
