Toxic Wraith, LAWEN - Lost In It

Los Angeles–based producer Kev Da Khemist unveils Crack Cocaine, a glitched-out modern boom bap instrumental infused with vintage synths. This track is an audio narrative that revisits one of the most devastating eras in recent U.S. history. From the streets of American cities to the jungles of Nicaragua, the beat echos a chilling reminder of how deeply government actions and international conflicts shaped the crisis. 

Musically, Crack Cocaine draws heavy inspiration from Italian electronic music pioneer Giorgio Moroder, known for his work on films like Midnight Express and Scarface. The track builds a gritty, cinematic soundscape over a slowed down Lindstrøm sample, layered with rich vintage synthesizers, ominous piano lines, Latin percussion, and thick, hard-hitting drums. A vocal snippet from Sea of Darkness by Los Angeles hip-hop duo Coyote adds another haunting layer.

This album is the log of the Stellarix, an exploratory spacecraft on a mission into the unknown. When the titanic bombardments began, the ship managed to escape into hyperspace at the speed of light Mk9-Zero-2. Each track is a record of its journey through strange worlds, lost systems, and the distant galaxy of Zentax.

The year is far in the future. We have entered a realm unknown to humans, where the laws of physics remain the same, but everything else is different, landscapes, light, atmosphere, even the sense of space itself. 'No Known Now' drifts through the centuries like a song remembered between lifetimes—its rhythm carrying echoes of prayers, revolutions, and midnight whispers. 

It’s a meditation on time and being—where past, present, and possibility dissolve into one continuous groove. Every beat feels ancient, every word newly born. The sound of footsteps echoing down corridors of memory, meeting themselves coming the other way.

Each verse walks the edge between prayer and poem, where rhythm becomes revelation and memory becomes melody. This Ultramix fusion of psychedelic rock soul and indie hip-hop mantra is just one of countless echoes — this song has been sung by candlelight, by campfire, by turntable glow — now reborn for a new now, the only one we ever truly know.

XIII Nights is a project initiated by Matteo Berto, a musician born and raised in northern Italy.
Matteo is mainly a bass player and double bass player graduated at the conservatory in jazz double bass, but he is currently deepening his musical research in the field of electronic music.

Like Tears In Rain is officially his debut single, the opener of the XIII Nights project.
The atmospheres are dark, rainy and dystopian, and hark back to the aesthetics of early 80s sci-fi films. Artists such as Timecop1983 and The Midnight are among its main inspirations.
'Like Tears In Rain' is a track he has put a lot of work into. The balance of sounds and melodies aimed at being strongly evocative required a lot of work. We can therefore define Like Tears In Rain as a work of pure digital craftsmanship.
