Baby Chapman (film)
Baby Chapman is an unreleased American supernatural horror film produced by the short-lived studio Northeast Reliant Pictures. Filmed in 2000 and intended for release on Halloween (2001), the movie was shelved indefinitely following the studio’s abrupt bankruptcy. No footage has ever been publicly released, and the film is considered a piece of 'lost media' with a small online cult following.

Despite its obscure status, interest in the project persists due to the accidental resurfacing of its original soundtrack, which has circulated online since the mid-2020s.

Primary sources describing the film’s plot are inconsistent. Surviving script fragments and production notes indicate a narrative centered on the fictional town of Providence, Rhode Island (unrelated to the real city), where residents begin experiencing strange disappearances involving pets, silverware, and children’s toys. The story apparently unfolds during a 1984 Sadie Hawkins Day event inside the town hall.

At the center of the story is the Chapman baby, an infant allegedly born during a silver-lit storm who gains supernatural abilities linked to local folklore surrounding Ozterwhile Cemetery. As the film progresses, Sheriff Horace Farnsworth investigates a series of bizarre events involving whispering dolls, crawling shadows, and reports of a porcelain-skinned child seen moving through graveyard fog.

The climax, according to rumor, depicts a ritual involving an orgy of animated doll parts and a whispered children’s rhyme that foretells the “end of Providence.”

No definitive plot summary exists, as the full film has never been seen by the public.

Principal photography occurred in late 2000 in and around rural areas of Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Much of the film was shot on Hi-8 and MiniDV camcorders, contributing to its grainy, documentary feel. According to production crew logs, improvised scenes involving puppetry and stop-motion were used for the supernatural elements.

Special effects were largely practical, created by a small team reportedly working with “40% budget, 200% ambition.”

The film’s soundtrack was composed using analog synthesizers, tubular bells, and choral layering reminiscent of mid-1980s John Carpenter scores. Surviving recordings include “Sleep Tight, Providence,” “Ozterwhile Dreaming,” and the "Baby Chapman" main overture.

In 2024–2025, digitized versions of the score began appearing on audio platforms without official context, sparking renewed interest in the project.

Interest in the film grew in the 2010s and 2020s as lost-media communities began cataloging unreleased horror projects. Several online threads reference the soundtrack as the only authenticated surviving element of the production.

No restoration attempts have been documented, nor have any of the original cast members been found. Stephen King remains silent.

Cada tema busca transmitir sensaciones únicas y ofrecer algo diferente a lo habitual. Estoy en un proceso continuo de aprendizaje y experimentación, creando lo que llamo "rarezas sonoras", piezas que abren nuevos caminos en la mente de quien las escucha.

SINCERE IMPOSTER is curated by two musicians, both living within the same body, sharing a singular existence. They identify as Danielle & Dave. They are both psychologically and musically confused, yet extremely and unapologetically sincere.

Influences range from Weird Al and Nathan Fielder to David Lynch, Rosalia, Monatik, Atarashii Gakko!, Rammstein, T-Pain, and T-Swift. 

Danielle & Dave’s favorite inventions include the vacuum and the peach pitter. Their father is simply known as Vessel… who may be an entity or a god.
