Music has been my lifelong companion — from classic rock in my teens to a wide spectrum of genres that shaped my taste over the years. I’ve always listened to everything: from progressive rock and metalcore to funk, soul, blues, indie, ambient, and electronic music. All of those sounds inevitably find their way into my own creative voice.

Where I’ve Been
Until around 2016, I was creating music in many different styles — mostly electronic. It was an experimental time, full of searching for my sound. Then came a long stretch of working quietly at home, without much inspiration or sharing my work with the world.

Where I Am Now
In 2025, something changed. I came back — with new energy, fresh ideas, and a vision that feels more alive than ever.

Now I write music across many directions: groove-driven tracks with funk, soul and blues rock energy, deep electronic cuts, and even indie-psychedelic songs with a hypnotic pulse. Every track feels different — but they’re all built on my own melodies, my own ideas, and my own voice.

With the rise of AI, I can finally unleash my full potential: using it to shape textures and arrangements, but always keeping the heart of the music fully mine.

William AKA Meli started out by delving into minimal electronic music, gaining his first set at ‘Rachdingue Surréaliste’ (Spain), then joining event planning group ‘Secret Garden Productions’ to organise underground events for electronic music in the south of France and in Spain (Fort Festival, Platja Festival) with the support of artists such as Santé, Sidney Charles, Los Suruba, La Fleur, and Richy Ahmed. For two years, Meli played house and micro house in his former home city of Brisbane (Australia), where he brought his French expertise by playing in various clubs around the city, continuously striving to improve his DJing. Co-founder of Groove Corp. he is now set in Lyon (France)to develop his career as resident in l'Officine, famous rooftop bar of the Grand Hôtel Dieu as well as having gigs in different places all around the city.
