An extraordinary song that sounds like an ancient Child folk ballad but was actually written in 1969 by Richard Thompson and Dave Swarbrick for the ultimate Fairport Convention album 'Liege and Lief ("voted the most important folk album of all time") on which Sandy Denny sings all the lead vocals. And, by virtue of that, probably the ultimate Sandy album, certainly performance-wise. 

We're both rather keen on Sandy.
