seekersInternational and juwanstockton return with "WARETA KOKORO NI KINTSUGI," a sequel to their acclaimed Kintsugi Soul Steppers. This release deepens the concept, drawing on the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pieces are rejoined with gold—here reflecting the album’s reconstruction of sounds from Regage, Lovers Rock R&B, and 80-90s Japanese Pop and TV drama.

"WARETA KOKORO NI KINTSUGI" is an immersive experience that blends atmospheric, vaporwave-like nostalgia with fragmented samples, giving each track a uniquely layered feel. Obscure yet striking, it weaves elements of dub/reggae and city pop into a cohesive yet abstract narrative, as though reconnecting memories across time. Through its cinematic approach, the album forges a distinctive world where past and future flow seamlessly, inviting listeners to engage with an evocative, otherworldly soundscape.

2024年のビッグ・リリースの1つ〈Riddim Chango〉からのseekersinternational & juwanstockton「Kintsugi Soul Steppers」の続編とも言えるスピンオフ的作品がMIXCDとしてリリース！

サンプリング〜カットアップ＆エディットで魅せる独創的ダブ表現、曲間がシームレスに繋がったミックステープ的感覚のアルバム構成など、SKRSの場合は作品とMIXの境目が曖昧だが、今作もオリジナル作品と肩を並べる傑作に仕上がっている。

アダルトに濡れたシルキーな80s Soul~Slow JamやLovers Rock、Screwedしたシティポップをカットアップ＆コラージュ・エディットしたサイケデリック・メロウなLO-FI異形ダブ〜トリッピー近未来ソウル・ワールド。そして、繋ぎ目を隠すのではなく目立たせる「金継ぎ」の役割を務めるのは80年代日本のトレンディドラマ？の日本語セリフ。これを多用しカットアップ＆曲間にコラージュしていくことで断片的な記憶／情景を繋ぎ合わせ、音楽と共に新たなストーリーに仕立てあげる様は、まさしく金継ぎによって新たな模様が加えられ唯一無二の特別な作品が生まれるがごとくであり、「Kintsugi Soul Steppers」にも見られた80年代、きらびやかなジャパン／トーキョーへのノスタルジックな眼差しなどvaporwave感は増幅されつつも不思議と”照れずに”聴けるのは彼らのベースにあるレゲエ／ダブ感覚とセンスの良さゆえだろうか。SKRS流に「われたこころにきんつぎ」を施すことによって、どこにもなかった過去（ありえなかった未来？）への幻想を掻き立てるSF的世界観をフレッシュに煌めかせていて、何度でもずっと聴いていたくなる。
