“Surely” is the first track Milton has released since his well-received debut album Simple Pleasures in 2014, a neo-soul project reminiscent of old school hip-hop and r&b. 

In “Surely,” as with his upcoming album (due in October), Milton steps outside of his familiar R&B territory, pushing the envelope with experimental electronic beats produced by Rob Devious.

“Energy” is the second single from Milton’s upcoming project (TBA), due for release this December. This follow-up to the well-received “Surely” pushes past the realm of hip-hop and R&B, incorporating elements of 70’s funk and jazz. The powerhouse horn section of Milton’s Jam Band combined with the beats of producer and keyboardist Rob Devious bring the song to a whole new level. “Are you feeling me…my energy.”

After signing with Recollective Records earlier this year, Milton joined forces with the RECphilly initiative and performed at the first official all-Philadelphia music showcase at SXSW in Austin,TX. He then received “Best R&B Artist of the Year” at The Tristate Indie Music Awards in April.
