I went often to look at the collection of curiosities in Heidelberg Castle, and one day I surprised the keeper of it with my German. I spoke entirely in that language. He was greatly interested; and after I had talked a while he said my German was very rare, possibly a "unique"; and wanted to add it to his museum.

If he had known what it had cost me to acquire my art, he would also have known that it would break any collector to buy it. Harris and I had been hard at work on our German during several weeks at that time, and although we had made good progress, it had been accomplished under great difficulty and annoyance, for three of our teachers had died in the mean time.

It was the beginning of the tekknozid (called 'tekkno') period (boom-boom-boom...) and - just for fun - I created this little track with a serious ('socially critical') motivation.

You can hear it in the main part at 1:17 'spoken' by a computer voice. :)

In this track you can also hear a female voice - she's screamin' "Nein ! Hilfe !!!". That's German and means "No ! Help !!!". ;D

As I mentioned, it was made 'some' years ago, but if I composed it today, it would be the same.

You know: It's all about the music - the language of the heart(s). Not about 'higher, faster, further' or the technical possibilities... (of course, it's meant in a friendly way) ;)

Every single note of my music (-> Soundvortex and Modern Age) was played by myself.
I do not use parts, phrases, sequencings, beats, etc. done by other musicians.
And even no chord, bass or drum automatics.

Music is the most important thing to me (both listening and composing).
I'm a lover of ...
- (substantial) instrumentals (like the music of Thomas Detert, Jeroen Tel or Gustaf "Lizardking" Grefberg) and 
- synthesizers - my favourite of all synths in this world (like moog, oberheim, etc.) : The "SID" (I like the clear sound of the 8580 the most).

So I have got a lot of music ...
- made on SID (musicians of "Maniacs Of Noise", "X-ample Architectures" and "Vibrants" deserve special mention)
- in formats like *.mod, *.xm, *.it, *.s3m
- on gramophone and vinyl records, CDs, audiocassettes

Born in 1973 in Berlin (west).
First steps on the piano in 1976.
First own 'band' (together with a school friend) in the early 1980s.
Synth band "Modern Age" since 1992 (until today).
Named as "Soundvortex" ("SVX") since 1993.
