[BR-043] V/A - RIGOR MORTIS (pt.1) delivers a harsh soundscape filled with a captivating array of dark, varied noises from the depths. It begins with a slow descent, pulling you in until time seems to slip away. As the trip unfolds it tests your patience, driving tension to the edge, periodically shifting and controlling the overall mood. The interplay of muffled, strange, and surreal sonic textures draws you further into darkness. The experience feels as if you're being torn from reality, drifting into the unknown, caught in a blurred dream where everything around either contracts or expands. Piercing sounds occasionally pull you back to reality, or for some, cast you into a void perhaps even a state of expanded consciousness.

[BR-043] ROBotron - Raptor

L'électro funk est apparu dans les années 1980 comme une fusion des genres musicaux.
Le genre a été fortement influencé par les pionniers de la musique électronique de danse tels que Kraftwerk et Giorgio Moroder , qui avaient auparavant popularisé les sons basés sur des synthétiseurs dans leur musique. De plus, l'électro funk s'est inspiré de la musique funk des années 1970, qui mettait l'accent sur les rythmes syncopés et les sections de cuivres.
L'un des premiers exemples d'électro funk est la chanson « Planet Rock » d'Afrika Bambaataa et Soulsonic Force, sortie en 1982. Le morceau comportait une utilisation intensive de synthétiseurs et d'échantillons, mélangeant des éléments d'électro et de funk pour créer un nouveau son qui allait influencer les futures générations de musiciens.
Dans l'ensemble, l'électro funk peut être considéré comme une évolution naturelle de la musique électro et funk, combinant les meilleurs aspects de chaque genre dans un nouveau son frais et excitant.
L'une des influences les plus notables de l'électro funk sur la culture populaire est son impact sur la musique hip-hop . De nombreux artistes, dont Run-DMC et Beastie Boys, ont incorporé des éléments d'électro funk dans leurs chansons, créant un nouveau sous-genre connu sous le nom d'« électro hip hop » ou simplement « électro ». Cette fusion de genres a contribué à combler le fossé entre les publics noirs et blancs , ouvrant la voie aux futures générations de rappeurs pour expérimenter différents styles et sons.
En plus de son impact sur le hip-hop, l'électro funk a également influencé d'autres genres tels que la house music et la techno . L'utilisation d'échantillonneurs numériques et de boîtes à rythmes a permis aux producteurs de créer de nouveaux sons et de nouvelles textures, ce qui a conduit au développement de nombreux sous-genres dans ces domaines.
Dans l'ensemble, l'influence de l'électro funk sur la culture populaire peut être observée dans les nombreux artistes et genres qu'elle a inspirés. Son mélange unique de funk et d'électronique continue d'inspirer les musiciens d'aujourd'hui, ce qui en fait une part importante de l'histoire de la musique.

Hungarian producer Róbert Sipos is known for being one of the two members of R717 and for his solo work under his aliases Noisesculptor and ROBotron, names under which he has been operating for more than a decade, both with different influences but always based on the sound and structure of industrial music. With ROBotron he returns again, this time with Insane Tempus, an album signed to Beryllium.

Insane Tempus starts with a rhythmic pulse reminiscent of a beating heart, gradually evolving into intricate, swirling rhythms and a rich tapestry of sounds. Initially, it feels restrained, but soon the atmosphere expands as if delivering a message from the depths of a distant galaxy. Persistent and, at times, ominously haunting, the sonic lines wrap around you sometimes intensifying, sometimes receding leaving behind a lingering tension and faint echoes reverberating through an infinite expanse. 

The soundscape is utterly captivating, suspended in a vast, weightless dimension, expanding and contracting with a mesmerizing cadence. It comes alive, shifting and morphing crackling, whispering, humming, and shimmering through ever-changing tonal layers. Like an entity of stardust coursing through the veins of a galaxy, it evokes a surreal and immersive experience that lingers long after the final sound fades.

[BR-049] V/A - RIGOR MORTIS (pt.3) concludes the trilogy, not with a resolution, but a disintegration. If the previous chapters were a descent, this is the shattering. All semblance of structure collapses, leaving only fragments of sound scattered across a desolate sonic landscape. The familiar tension gives way to a raw, unbridled chaos. Harsh noise assaults the senses, textures warp and contort beyond recognition, and the listener is left adrift in a sea of pure, undiluted extremity. This is not music for comfort, but for confrontation; not for escape, but for immersion in the very heart of sonic annihilation. This is the final stage of rigor mortis: the complete surrender to the void. Enter at your own risk.
