This is Gavin K’s reimagining of “Militant Don” by Magugu — a dark, pressure-heavy weapon designed for dubstep, grime, bass music, and sound system culture. For a radio show I created two trance mixes. Crafted for that moment when, after three hours of house, the broadcast shifted into a full hour of pure, cutting-edge trance. This recording captures that hour exactly as it happened, live and unfiltered.

Trance is music built on emotion and this mix is no exception. It embodies an era I look back on with a genuine smile, an era defined by energy, melody and everything that made the genre magic. This set starts easy with the anthem of "The FFWD Heineken Dance Parade" from 2000 but slowly builds up to the pure trance they were waiting for.

So sit back, turn it up, and enjoy this one-hour journey into the past. A true trance trip, the way it was meant to be.
