dream (Prod The Ushanka Boy)

I wrote this song a couple years ago. I recorded it back then too & it came out pretty decent! Still... I have learned much about recording since then & I needed a way to get out of my recent creative slump, so I started this song again from scratch & so far I'm loving the results! It's very long but with how the vocals play in it makes sense & the ending is a long fade out that I have yet to... fade out. I still need to do the vocals but I wanted to do a music test to see where I may need to make some adjustments before the next step. This is one of the prettiest songs I have ever written & I am very proud of it. I used my brand new Hartwood Speedway semi-hollow guitar for all the guitar parts, my Gretsch short-scale bass as well as my Keeley Parralax Spatial Generator guitar pedal for some extra atmospheric goodness. It's basically a delay/reverb/modulation pedal. Enjoy!

Making music is my passion. That and my cats! I've been playing guitar since I was 14 years old back in 1989 when my Dad gave me my 1st guitar & amp. It was a beautiful old Univox guitar that he had bought at Montgomery Ward in the 60's & he also had 2 Airline amps he gave to me. He played surf guitar in high school. One of my life's biggest regrets is that I sold that equipment around the time I was 18-19 years old. It was irreplaceable to me. I currently own around 25 guitars, 5 or so amps & numerous other equipment like pedals & mics that I use to record my music at home using Audacity software. I do both covers & original tunes w/a tendency towards grungy sounding guitars, but I also enjoy writing quiet pretty songs too. This is my 5th soundcloud page!
