Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji develops a new town, Sri Tarn Taran Sahib for the benefit of mankind. The Kar Sewa (construction) of the Sarovar started on 17 Vaisakh 1647 Bk. (1590 CE). In the vicinity of Tarn Taran the Mughal aristocrats, Amanat Khan and Nurdin were constructed their inns as per the orders of Emperor Jahangir. Both of them faced a shortage of bricks and with the tight deadline, they had to look and ask around for ad hoc availability. The Jatts of the village near to Amanat Khan's Inn told Amanat about the large number of bricks being baked by Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji. Amanat immediately leaves and meets Nurdin who was also searching for bricks. The duo comes over to the kilns of Guru Ji and forcefully confiscates all the bricks.  Sikhs ran to Guru Arjan Dev Ji and narrated the whole incident to which Guru Ji replies, "Just like how they have forcefully taken our bricks, my Sikhs will forcefully uproot their buildings and get back the same bricks." The news of Guru Ji's prophesy reached the duo who in their ego tried to reconcile with Guru Ji stating that they will pay for the bricks and will promise to never do a similar act again. Guru Ji declines their offer. 
The Seva was halted and Guru Ji prepared to leave Tarn Taran after blessing it with many boons. The Seva was later resumed by Jassa Singh Ramgarhia in 1766CE who uprooted their inns and brought back the bricks as per Guru Ji's words. The final Seva was done by Maharaja Nau Nihal Singh who completed the Parikarma and built a tower.
