Piccolo pezzo composto al volo, come momento di colonna sonora di film di Giuseppe Schillaci.  È una sorta di "ipervariazione" da piccolo frammento d'una delle Variazioni che il palermitano Alessandro Scarlatti (1660-1725) compose per cembalo sul "Tema della Follia" (una specifica sequenza di note e/o accordi, molto diffusa in tutta Europa dal Medioevo a oggi. Per esempio, restando all'oggi, su questo Tema è il pezzo principale delle musiche di Vangelis per il film di Ridley Scott "1492 - Conquest of Paradise", o sempre su questo stesso Tema è anche, che so, "Oops, I did it again" di Britney Spears!).
Il pezzettino qui è arricchito dalle raffinate preziosità delle spazzole di Antonio Leta alla batteria, e del basso di Luca la Russa (il resto - cioè marimba, cembalo, celesta, fagotto, clarinetto, flicorno, synth - l'ho purtroppo suonato io con suoni campionati).
Una precedente versione di questo pezzo la realizzai, ovviamente in altro modo, per le musiche del videogioco "The Great Palermo" di We Are Müesli, il primo videogame a entrare nella selezione annuale del "Compasso d'oro", il più antico e autorevole premio mondiale di design.

I was born in 1999 in Solofra, a small town in southern Italy. My first musical education took place at the "A. Peri" Conservatory in Reggio Emilia, where I discovered at a young age the beauty of the harpsichord and its repertoire. Since then, I have pursued my studies for one year at the "A. Boito" Conservatory in Parma with Prof. Francesco Baroni, and later completed my Bachelor's degree at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under the guidance of Francesco Corti. I recently completed my Master's studies at the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris (CNSMDP), studying with Prof. Olivier Baumont and Prof. Blandine Rannou, the latter of whom I continue to study with in the harpsichord soloist perfection class at the CRR of Versailles.

Art, literature, and philosophy have always been intertwined with my music. I love experimenting, blending these passions to reveal new dimensions of the harpsichord, bringing it into conversation with other art forms. One of my most exciting projects is a musical theatre performance inspired by the "ocular harpsichord," an extraordinary instrument invented by Father Castel, an 18th-century Jesuit priest in Paris. Designed to project colors as it plays, it feels like a perfect metaphor for how I see the harpsichord: an instrument that can paint entire worlds of sound and emotion.

Along the way, I’ve been awarded the third prize at the "Wanda Landowska Harpsichord Competition" in 2017, first prize at the "A. Bianchi Harpsichord and Fortepiano Competition" in 2018, and third prize ex-aequo at the "Paola Bernardi" International Harpsichord Competition in Bologna in 2023.

Masterclasses with artists such as Olivier Baumont, Jean-Luc Ho, Olivier Fortin, Skip Sempé, and Francesco Corti have shaped my perspective and deepened my understanding. Each experience has added new colors to my musical palette, guiding me toward the artist I am today.

As my journey continues, I remain committed to pushing the harpsichord into new territories, weaving together the old and the new in ways that challenge and inspire.

Ms. Kozlova has appeared as Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel) with Chicago Summer Opera, Flora (The Turn of the Screw) at Mannes School of Music, Susanna (Le Nozze di Figaro) with New York Lyric Opera, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) with Manhattan Opera Studio, Amore (L'incoronazione di Poppea) with Berlin Opera Studio. Elizaveta Kozlova has performed as a soloist at the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, and at the Moscow International House of Music. 
Elizaveta won an Encouragement Award at the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Arkansas Region in 2024. She is the recipient of the Jaume Aragall Award and the Apròpera Award from the 2023 Camerata Sant Cugat Competition in Sant Cugat, Spain. She was a semifinalist at the Houston Saengerbund Competition in 2021. 
Elizaveta is the founder and the artistic director of The Chagall Project for which received the 2020 Marin Alsop Entrepreneurship Award at Mannes School of Music. 
Ms. Kozlova received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Voice at Mannes School of Music.
