I looove to explore mathematics using mathematics visualization software, e.g. Desmos. Mostly, I do so during my breaks at work since they're too short to really get into anything more serious, hence requiring a zone, which is my favorite place to be, mind you ... but ... yeah. So, anyhow, one of my students and I started thinking that I should make music videos with the mathematical animations ... I half-joked that it should be called "Kaleidoscopic" ... but I was also mostly serious.

With full intentions of actually making the tune as soon as could be the case, well ... here it is ... in it's core form. There may be variations yet to come, but this is the core of the tune.

Much distortion was applied in the first variation, which is super awesome, yet there remained a thirst for a less crushed to bits variation. This be that one.

Once upon a time, a long arse time ago ... I began creating music with just my computer, a piano, and a guitar.  During those times, I learned about making music by actually making it.  With the computer, I composed.  With the guitar and piano I improvised.

To this day, these are still my primary music making media, although I have since incorporated hardware synthesizers, DIY instruments, and Eurorack.  I now use digital, analog, and acoustic instruments and sounds to compose and improvise music.
