Here is the audio taken from the industry Q&A with playwright and screen writer VINAY PATEL as part of Applecart Arts SEEDS 21 Programme. In this session Vinay speaks of his experience writing for screen and stage, and imparts much wisdom and advice for both young and emerging writers. 

Vinay's work includes; 'Doctor Who: Demons of The Punjab' (BBC 2020), 'An Adventure' (Bush Theatre 2018)', 'Sticks & Stones' (Plaines Plough/Theatr Clwyd 2018), 'Murdered By My Father' (BBC3 2016) and 'True Brits' (Vaults/The Bush 2014/2015).

SEEDS 21 is a free theatre arts programme launched by Applecart Arts. The programme is open to young individuals (between 12-18 yrs), offering the opportunity to explore, create and grow within an inclusive and encouraging performance environment.

As part of this creative initiative individuals will obtain the knowledge, skills and confidence to be able to take ownership of their stories, promoting social inclusion via performance.

CELLULOID DREAMS THE MOVIE SHOW -- 9/1/22 

THIS WEEK'S SHOW: We've been here before... A small tribe of indigenous people defend their land from Brazilian farmers who sieze a protected area of the Amazon rainforest. But, facing deforestation and ultimately climate change, their fight includes not just bows and arrows but also drones and social media. Our first guest, director Alex Pritz put cameras in the hands of tribal people and facilitated them documenting the whole experience as it unfolded in THE TERRITORY. 

HONK FOR JESUS. SAVE YOUR SOUL. (one title, two periods!) is a satirical comedy about a prominent Southern Baptist Mega Church forced to close due to scandal and how its "first lady" and her pastor husband rebuild their congregation and stage a comeback of biblical proportions. We sit down with the Ebo sisters, writer/director Adamma and producer Adanne about their feature film debut (an expansion of their same-titled short film).
