Archaic Humans takes off with bebop-via-Brazil drumming, propulsive bursts of New Orleans–flavored brass, and hair-on-fire jazz improvisation.  On Archaic Humans, the band lights up the afterburners to reach into fresh territory with a couple of new collaborators, too as GRAMMY-nominated progressive hip-hop/go-go artist Christylez Bacon from Washington, DC, and soulful South African voclist Melanie Scholtz braid radically new and uplifting strands into Nation Beat’s musical timeline.

Flamingeaux was raised in New Orleans, but the DJ was born in Miami. When the sounds of electronic dance music entered his ears, and he experienced the energy that a great house music set can bring to a crowd, he was hooked. Through his love of the music and the gathering that ensues, Flamingeaux has developed a style of Djing that gathers electronic dance music into a unique ensemble that drives a crowd crazy, keeps them wondering what's coming next, and leaves them begging for more. His turntablism focuses more on the blending of songs and transitions in between as well as the emotions evoked by simple lyrics. This new unique style of a mastermind DJ will take you by surprise, and leave you with a love for the music, the crowd, the energy, and the movement dance music has bequeathed upon the world.
