Manda Patel is an inspiring teacher and speaker, who has dedicated her life to studying the simple, spiritual truth that lives behind the philosophy of the Brahma Kumaris. She is based in the Global Retreat Centre, near Oxford, where she has played a pivotal role for many years.

Jeanine M. Canty, PhD, was Visiting Scholar at The New School at Commonweal in October 2025. She is a visionary scholar whose groundbreaking work illuminates the profound connections between consciousness, thought, and our relationship with the natural world. Her teaching weaves together social justice, ecological wisdom, and transformation. 

Within this introductory talk, her first event at The New School as Visiting Scholar, we dive into the dualities within the western human’s psyche in order to reclaim our ecological and transpersonal identities and to access pathways for healing.

Tamasin loves being out and about - she has worked on camera as an actor, on the road as a paramedic, in the field as a medical anthropologist (PhD), in parliament as an advisor, and now in the bush as a wildlife rescuer and carer. As a perpetually curious student, she enjoys teaching meditation in ways that are simple, practical, and experiential for everyone.

I wrote 5 of Swords right after a 36-hour crash out. It's the kind of collapse where time stops behaving and everything feels stretched thin and heavy. This was the first song written for the project, born in that raw, blurry place where exhaustion turns existential and every step forward somehow loops you right back to where you started.

In the world of ROADRUNNER, this is the breaking point before the story even begins. It’s the moment where the self is frayed, patience is gone, and the weight of your own thoughts becomes its own battlefield. There’s no victory here, no revelation. It's just the quiet surrender of someone falling on their own sword because there’s nothing left to fight with.

Sonically, 5 of Swords feels like limbo: droning, restless, cycling in place. Vocals that sound like someone barely staying upright, production that circles back on itself the way the mind does when it’s tired and spiraling. It’s meant to feel suspended like the days are too long, the nights too loud, and you’re waiting for something to break that never does.

"Pictureplane"(Travis Egedy), is a popular artist known for making his come up in the electronic music scene, DIY Venues, also popular for hanging around artists like "Grimes" and "Crystal Castles" in the early come up days of these artist, he is also the one who came up with the word "Witch House" which is a playful word on "House" music, though "Witch House" is now a popular music genre that is enjoyed by many.

"Crystal Castles" are actually one of the very first, if not the first electronic music duo to actually invent "Witch House" music, as you can hear dark beats and sorrow drawn out voices off of some of their early (demo songs/ Demo Album) dating back from "2007" and before that, which is crazy to think since during that time "Witch House" did not have a name for itself yet.
