RetroManiac isn't exactly a spitting image of a Toriel role when you first meet her, they're more like a friend at a pub then a guiding figure. But Retro's such an endearing friend at this hypothetical pub that it didn't feel right to cast him anywhere else. 

Retro does post much on their socials, but they are amazing at drawing. Even sketches manage to blow me away. We rarely see her in VCs, which makes any moment Retro is in a special one.
