On the other side of the world, Aaron Bushnell's body burned in the same way the bodies of innocent people are burning every day in Gaza. As he burned he shouted repeatedly, "free Palestine."

She wants to change the world and is willing to suffer and sacrifice for her beliefs. As the flames consume her, a bystander mourns, and curses those who he believes have encouraged her to pursue this extreme action. They will not remain silent however.

Hell is Forever

Inspired by the cases of self-immolation. This piece is dedicated to Alice Herz, an 82-year old peace activist and refugee from Nazism, burned herself to death in Detroit to protest the US military’s strategic bombing in Vietnam. A letter sent to her daughter said that she did this “not out of despair, but out of hope for mankind”.
