After a two-year hiatus, our favorite outdoor event on the Diocese of Camden’s calendar is back, iRace4Vocations! The annual faithraiser dedicated to supporting vocations to the priesthood and religious life returns on April 3 at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken. The event features an outdoor Mass with Bishop Dennis Sullivan and our seminarians, a sanctioned 5K run, a 1 mile walk, fun, games and food - all for FREE! Joining us to chat about the event, and the impact it had on his own vocation journey, is Fr. Adam Cichoski, Director of Vocations of the Diocese of Camden. Our hosts Jen Mauro and Mike Walsh grill Fr. Adam about what participants can expect and why the event is so important to current and future seminarians.

Talking Catholic heads to the latest Theology on Tap in South Jersey for a presentation by Deacon Anthony Infanti, a seminarian for the Diocese of Camden, on the use of icons in the Catholic Church. The presentation took place before a standing room only crowd of 20 and 30-somethings at Tir Na Nog in Cherry Hill. With Mike and Pete, the two discuss finding their own callings, and helping young women and men better discern if they have a true calling to the priesthood and religious life.  It's a great conversation that delves deeply into the essence of the discernment process, the desire to find one's place in the world, and the balance of humanity and the spiritual life.

Do you know a young man who has, or might have, a calling to the priesthood? Perhaps they don’t know the first steps of formally discerning a vocation. This week hosts Kari Janisse and Mike Walsh get you ALL the answers when they sit down in The Vault with Fr. Adam Cichoski, the new director of vocations for the Diocese of Camden. 

Fr. Cichoski (Ch-hess-key), a young priest himself, goes into deep, honest and joyful detail of his own discernment, and what a young man needs to know before starting the process that leads to seminary and, God-willing, the priesthood.

But even more useful than what this podcast can provide, beginning on October 20th, the Office of Vocations will be hosting monthly discernment meetings for any young man between the ages of 16-35 to discuss a vocation to the priesthood. Fr. Adam Cichoski talks Vocations

Seminarian Patrick DiLoreto discovered his military calling before he did his priestly vocation. Through the ROTC program at the University of Northern Colorado, he joined the Colorado National Guard at the end of his freshman year in 2012, inspired in part by the influence of an older brother who served in the U.S. Army and deployed to Afghanistan while Mr. DiLoreto was still in high school. But it was not until he made a spiritual retreat his junior year in college that he discerned a call to priesthood and military chaplaincy. Now, Mr. DiLoreto is on track to be ordained a priest for the Diocese of Colorado Springs in 2023 with plans to go on active duty as an Army chaplain. In this edition of Catholic Military Life, the only official podcast of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA, Mr. DiLoreto reflects on his priestly calling and how he hopes to make a difference serving those who serve.

What does healthy Black Love look like? (EP5)

Co-hosts Mike Walsh, Mary McCusker, Marianela Nunez and Kari Janisse interview Catholic leaders from in and around the Diocese of Camden about what brought them to where they are now and how they are bringing the faith to their communities.

CATHOLIC MILITARY LIFE is a podcast of the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA (AMS). The AMS was established as an independent archdiocese by Pope Saint John Paul II in 1985 as the only Catholic jurisdiction responsible for endorsing and granting faculties for priests to serve as chaplains in the U.S. military and VA Medical Centers.
