Folks need help this week on "Voyager", though they resist at first. In "Life Line" the EMH has himself emailed to the Alpha Quadrant so he can try to force his father to accept treatment. After that, Janeway has to convince an accidental kidnapee that they can trust her to get them to a new home in "The Haunting of Deck Twelve".

Episode 304: Ghosts in the Machines

Somehow we have already reached the end of season six and the start of season seven of "Voyager"! In what is more-or-less "Trek" tradition it's a two-part affair, and the Borg are back in town! This time we find out about the titular "Unimatrix Zero", where a random array of drones spend their regeneration cycles aware of who they used to be and live separate lives that they cannot remember when they wake up. But the Borg Queen is onto them, and they need to find a way to preserve their temporary independence. Luckily for them, none other than Seven of Nine used to be a member of their club! Can she convince the "Voyager" crew to assist in a potential Borg rebellion? Of course, Janeway loves intense danger!

Episode 305: The Good Enough of Both Worlds

Alright, so maybe the title is an exaggeration but this is for sure the first time we've had two episodes in a row where these characters have pleasant conversations with each other. First up, Seven's cortical implant is on the fritz and the prognosis is bad, so she hides from the Doctor with Torres in "Imperfection". After that, Tom does a race at the expense of free time with B'Elanna and she gets relationship advice from her new Borg buddy in "Drive".

After that, The Doctor is forced to work for an HMO that's almost as bad as a real-world one and decides he's going to ruin it in "Critical Care"!

First up: a facsimile Barclay who should be helping "Voyager" is instead reprogrammed by Ferengi (or is it Ferengeh?)to kill them all in the name of profit in "Inside Man". After that, The Doctor needs to hide from hologram-haters inside Seven, but it also means he gets to go full "Being John Malkovich" with her in "Body & Soul".

Episode 311: Breach Week

[SPOILERS for all of "Picard" and SNW S.1 in this week's blog talk at the end]
Everything's a bit familiar this week on "Voyager". First up: a heavy dose of "The Time Trap" and "Night" with a dash of "The Trouble With Tribbles" and "Concerning Flight" brings us "The Void", where Janeway has to introduce the concept of cooperation to some people who've forgotten it. After that, "The Killing Game" and "Fair Haven" get together and we get "Workforce", which still refuses to let Janeway just get a happy ending with a dude she's into.
Also this week: warp core made a mess, evil is going to win, and technically part two of our kids in "Trek" talk but turns into a bit of a Paramount Plus roast. And rightly so, because they are the WORST.
