Brian Eno had just released “Music For Airports” The Festival was piping it into the Bus Stops at the Nicolett Bus Mall, downtown (as well as at the Airport!). (Recording from a now well worn Cassette.)

-SOCCER96 W-ALABASTER DEPLUME “I WAS GONNA FIGHT FASCISM” A top track of the last set of years. Snarky vocal from Alabaster Deplume. Stakes are high. Donate, Call, Text, And VOTE like your life depends on it, because, it does. 
-GRAY W-GLENN O’BRIEN “WILLE MAYS, BOOM FOR REAL" Basqiat’s group from the *80’s”. Archival recording. Not sure if it has much to do with the great baseball player Willie Mays, but, it  is a fever dream of a track.
-RAHSAAN ROLAND KIRK W-BETTY NEALS “THEME FOR THE EULIPIONS” Perfect, with The Poetry of Betty Neals & soaring Sax worth of the one of a kind Rahsaan Roland Kirk. “…if there were no Sun, there would be this Song…” This is all the light you need!
-YUSUF DAYES “BLACK CLASSICAL MUSIC”. Title track of the recent LP. New UK Jazz Drummer Yusuf Dayes with a track of Bop bliss.
-ART ENSEMBLE OF CHICAGO W-FONTELLA BASS “THEME DE YOYO” The 3rd “must play” track. Fontella Bass’ dark, sexual lyrics, one of the best bands of  the 70s The Funk/the Jazz/theSoul & the OUTNESS!

-ARIEL KALMA JEREMIAH CHIU & MARTA SOFIA “TEN HOUR WAVE” One of the best albums of this year, from the unique “International Anthem” label.  Rythmic, trance positive.
-ROBERT ASHLEY  “THE BACKYARD” The 4th “must play” of the session. Member of the collection of 60’s artists “Fluxus”, Robert Ashley from the LP “Private Parts” With tabla, etc. from “Blue” Gene Tyranny.  Entrancing, calming, baffling, yum.  (The record has been played a lot so a bit “crunchy” at the end.)
-LAURIE ANDERSON “DIEGO (TIME TO GO)” Early piece about a security guard at the NYMOMA snapping people out of the “art trances” at closing time. Love Laurie.

SAN FRANCISCO MUSEUM OF MODERN ART LISTENING ROOM 7 - 30 - 2024 (STUDIO RECORDING)

Duserock  has been bringing heat to dance floors for over two decades, opening for the likes of Sting and Sheryl Crow. His ability to blend genre's and keep the crowd dancing have made him a popular DJ worldwide. He's shared bills with Doc Martin, A-Trak, Mark Farina, Marques Wyatt, Ron Trent, Eric Kupper, Dubtribe, Hardkiss, Nickodemus, Miguel Migs, Sleight Of Hands, Tal M. Klein and many more. Aside from DJ'ing, Duserock has been spending more energy in the production realm. His roots stem from the dance act Drop Culture, an electronic based group which received praise from dance stalwarts Pete Tong and Groove Armada.  Realizing it was time to explore the depths of his personal creativity, Duserock has taken on the world of writing, remixing and is a founding member of Electronic act ThrillHammer. ThrillHammer recently released a new single, "Bohemian Berlin Disco" on the SF based Hardkiss label. They recently released their second single “Heart Throbbing Lover” on the legendary Paper Recordings and are currently working on their Full Length LP. Duserock has also been working in the studio with label boss Trotter, of the Sau Paulo based imprint Royal Soul Records. They have released 2 singles, “Hashbury” and “Só Quero a Vida Assim” (Feat. Ricardo Arantes Hanna Sidmar Vieira).

DJ Tom Thump has been moving dance floors, bringing smiles for a few exhuberant years now. Originally  from Detroit, with a stop in Los Angeles and now San Francisco, his immersion and knowledge of the world of dance music (and good music in general), combined with his skills DJing, allow the musical language of each style to speak clearly and powerfully. 

Formally manager and buyer at the world renowned Groove Merchant Records, San Francisco. Most recently sponsored by SOL REPUBLIC Headphones (solrepublic.com)
Tom is currently Co-Producing with DJ BMG (EctoMorph, Detroit) the FUNKADELIC REMIX PROJECT for Westbound Records. Featuring mixes/edits and covers from Tom Thump, Carl Craig, Claude Young, Marcellis Pittman, Moodymann, The Dirtbombs, Recloose, Alton Miller, Mike Banks, BMG, and others...

Touring the world Tom has also played gigs in London, Berlin, Budapest, Basel, Montreal, Vancouver, Seattle, New York, Denver, Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne.

Tom has played alongside Gilles Peterson, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Mark Farina, Thievery Corporation, Fat Freddy's Drop, Nickodemus, Morrissey, Jamiroquai, Femi Kuti, Tricky, Morcheeba, The Original Meters, Roy Ayers, Gang of Four, George Clinton, Boozoo Bajou, Bonobo, Herbert, 4Hero and many more.

He has Programmed/Sequenced and Mixed six commercially released Compilations on Cosmic Flux (SF) and Kinkysweet Records(LA),and has released a remix of San Francisco Producer/Artist Romanowski with DJ U9lift,also, producing a booty moving remix of Funkadelic's "Standing on the Verge of Getting It On" with DJ Smash (Blue Note Records).
In this time, Tom has also hosted and played at some of San Francisco's
biggest, and best club nights, such as, Release, Budonkadonk!, Twice as Nice, Mushroom Jazz and Loose Joints!. Often boundary pushing, always satisfying.
