When a woman was sad that the last pandemic wasn't good enough and hoped the next one would do a better job at killing more people, i was disgusted. Instead of giving her a piece of my mind, i wrote a long essay. "Righteous Disgust! What’s in the Air Down Here?: How to Mine the Mine and the Not Mine of My Own Disgust — Inside and Outside. I look at the morality of disgust and its role in creating enough energy for a crowd to become a mob that will kill.

Letter to Child Gaia

Dear Gaia,

I know you're scared, I know you feel unsafe and unlovable.. but I need you to understand its not your fault.

You never did anything wrong, you don't deserve that. Its not your fault that your parents couldn't get along.

You just happened to get caught in the middle.

Its not your fault that your light and energy became a threat to them.

You didn't mean to reveal their emptiness with your creativity.

You didn't mean to reveal their apathy with your compassion.

And you should never, ever shrink for them, or anyone else. You deserved so much better.

I love you Gaia. You're fine as you are, I want you to know that, you are loved.

You amaze me with your spirit and vitality. Your resilience. Your vibration, its pure.

What you create matters. Your music IS real, your parents were wrong.

They were just projecting their own shadows onto you..

Its not your job to make them feel better about themselves.
