This release will have you dancing and crying at the same time. On his debut album, Paris-based producer and founder of the ‘raw poetry’ aesthetic Loyce Demellier - AKA DJ Physical - takes us on a fast-paced journey through techno, electro, breaks and more. Whilst the music’s indisputable home is the club, Physical teases out moments of playfulness and sentimentality amongst hard-hitting electronics.

‘Silver Lake’ LP resides on the colder, more industrial side of Demellier’s sonic spectrum, following on from his latest release on London imprint 1Ø PILLS MATE which saw him depart from the more lofi quality of his previous releases in favour of a raw, club-focused sound. On the A-side, Demellier situates the release within the context of old warehouse raves, with euphoric acid melodies and a 140BPM propulsion (‘Uranium’); and high-pitched synth stabs that ascend from darkness (‘Gold Mines’). The B-side maintains the pace, but this time it’s about electro and breaks. On ‘Overshoot’, reverberating cymbals add another layer of depth to Amen break interludes whilst ‘Lawbreaker’ harnesses a cheekier tone, offering respite from the previous tracks’ venom.

This air of playfulness sticks around on ‘Lunatic State’ helped by MPC drum claps and a ludic electro melody, before fellow Parisian Ika Sile steps up for ‘Early Sprinter’ and ‘Bootybounce’: the former offering a slicker take on acid techno and the latter: rave music at its absolute with piano stabs and sleazy vocal chops.

DASCO's energy is infectious. Just watch a clip of her behind the decks or catch her in action IRL and you'll find it impossible to disagree. 

It's always a joy to see an artist vibing out and DASCO has been spreading this positive spirit wherever she goes, from her current home of Berlin (where she recently debuted at Panorama Bar) to her native Tel Aviv and across the world in cities like Sydney, Tokyo and Cape Town.
The music press has been paying attention too, with a number of leading websites and magazines lending heavy support. 

The sense of freedom and connection she evokes on the dance floor translates to her mission to level the playing field for women, non-binary and LGBTQIA+ artists with the music scene.
Earlier this year she launched Bisexuality Exists, a record label that works on the fact that "music - like life - is rarely ever black or white", and that there are "so many beautiful colours in-between". 

Just like her DJ sets and previous releases for Local Talk, Housewax and Shall Not Fade,
Bisexuality Exists showcases the producer’s core influences; there's nods to 90s rave and
acid house but through a fresh, contemporary lens. 
“My goal”, she says, “is to lift people up through my music and spread love and happy energy across the world”. A role she’s clearly accustomed to, DASCO’s enthusiasm and uncompromising attitude continue to endear her to new fans aplenty. With a host of dates and productions pencilled in for the next while, one can’t escape the feeling that DASCO’s set for a momentous year ahead.

During the lockdown in April 2020 I learned the magic of mixing myself. Searching the internet, spending hours and hours, even spending nights practicing. My debut was a 15 minute set on ZUCO tv. Soon a second set of an hour on ZUCO tv. After that I was allowed to play in Dollar in Ninove, and soon many other bookings came to me. I was allowed to play in different places like Lebbeke, Dilbeek, Ghent, Anderlecht. La Rocca And now also weekly on Radio Bataklank. I am also resident dj for the awesome Secret Cinema. I started mixing with Deep House, Melodic House and Progressive House, But after a while the love for Techno came out. Love to play Techno with acid tunes and also TechnoRetro. The love for music was born. And I realised the most important …. MUSIC IS THE MEDICINE!! 🥳🥳🥳

He already played alongside greats of the scene like Sven Väth, Butch, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Thomas Hammann, Damiano von Erckert only to name a few and had mainstage slots at Festivals like "Nature One" and played in hotspots such as Istanbul, Tbilisi and Budapest.

Helge wins hearts by going back to the roots and bringing delicate house vibes to the dancefloor. Always with a smile and lots of black gold, Frerikson delivers his distinctive style to the crowd – which just can’t stand still when he’s putting the needle to the record.“ (AOU)

"Frerikson is one of the so called „Strictly Rhythm Generation“, playing House and Techno music as dj since the 90s. 
Entering the charts in the UK with his track DAMAI in co-production with Benno Block as Block&Frerikson, he is now more than well known for his productions in electronic music as well as for his dj-sets which are downloaded more than incredibly a thousand times on soundcloud.
