All i wana do is jump and hop to the beat, tired of only the grey skies that Ive seen, wana notice something more take note of the beauty, golden light pink hues make a soul seem moody, shifting myself as I sleep at night, cant get comfortable no matter how hard I try, somethings off it's now a great predicament
Times of the essence and im oh so sick of it, what can I do to change this path? move past the daunty mundane stained grass, blossom out some petals with color, vibrant lead sent in the letter from my lover, red in the title but nothing has matched, I was alone again waiting for time to pass, these feelings they fade, ones I can't grasp, laying down now i slink back in my bed, words and beats running wild through my head, am i dead because i dont know what's with the living? life is a trail and mines down for the killing, wasting years this rap ain't very neat, no one listens to the sounds and words that I speak, often alone so the thoughts tend to weep, keep em locked up inside, jail cell prison of the mind, will they escape or stay shacked with no key?

They say im the same please stop living in the past, can I move on God how long will this last, i thought I was strong and fought on hard through the blast, cold winter shocked stuck in my slumber I awoke, to the rhymes written through the cracks in my tone, aint got no home, so I'll still keep pushing for a spot in the better place, i let em hate, erase the pain like tunes to my heart they be leaving the stain, one I can't cover up with a simple touch, id rather be living true than living it up, and yes I still rust with them days and nights, and if I can't find who I am then who is right? What's the real truth when no one can seem to hear? I don't wana live my life if its filled with fear. I just wana find the sounds that be pulling me near, ever opened up just spilling out blood, my purpose is forgotten but it's one I've loved and held so close, in these last days I still find thankfulness though, for that of flow and the days that come, allowing me to be myself and watching over your son

One of my all-time favorites from Nujabes next to "Other Side of Phase". The feel, the lyrics, the sample... The more I dive into his discography the more I'm inspired to write more tunes. With this edit, I tried to capture the original feeling of nostalgia, love, and getting through hard times. I know I'm not alone here in feeling that music has this profound effect on our lives. It's one of a few things that can keep my head up when there's so much to keep it down, you know?

Alex Besikian aka is a visual artist, producer and MC, known as the co-founder of Akromégalie Records and 1/3 of seminal French hip-hop group Kalhex.

Producer of critically acclaimed instrumental albums since 2011, Lex has been part of notable compilations such as Toru Hashimoto’s "Urban-Mellow FM 77.4 » (2014) or Radio Juicy’s « The Chronic » (2017).

Close to Nujabes' entourage, he collaborated with worldwide artists such as Grap Luva & Rob-O (from Pete Rock’s INI), Shing02, Uyama Hiroto, Dday One, Substantial & Mathematik (Down Ta Erf).

Represented in Japan by Takumi Koizumi (Hydeout Productions’ ex-manager), Lex performs regularly there and in Europe for over a decade.

Passionate about hip-hop in all its forms, my heart beats for the golden era in the US, the late 90s/early 2000s French scene (with legends like DJ Mehdi), and of course, Japanese hip-hop, which has had a huge artistic influence on me. Hydeout Productions, Takuya Kuroda, DJ Mitsu The Beats, Nomak, Nitsua… and many more shape my musical world.

I started as a deep listener, then moved into DJing and mixing, and now, I’m creating my own beats. No matter the evolution, the passion remains the same.

I also founded Ofa Music Group, a collective/label to honoring a specific era and musical aesthetic—where jazz and hip-hop blend seamlessly, where organic sounds meet lofi textures to create timeless atmospheres.
