Shower Thoughts: Booby Trap (9/8/23)

I literally wrote about 75% of this in the shower. I don't remember what sparked it, but it flowed like the water on my my sexy body.  As one who grew up on Hip-Hop, I've come to view lyrics, bars, and storytelling as the pinnacle of the art form. Then, mumble rap came along and none of that mattered. It was all about being catchy. To me, that's absurd, but whatever gets you off. This is just a collection of jokes for fun. I had fun making it, even if I forgot to mumble sometimes. I hope you have fun listening to it and watching the silly images I got AI to create for the video. 

Gaget killed the beat and probably didn't intend for it to be used for a parody song, but I was looking for a beat for my Mumble Rap parody, and it was perfect.

Shower Thoughts is the first song I’ve written to be performed live. I composed and arranged the piece and wrote the lyrics as well as mixing and editing the recording. The strumming patterns for the guitar were created by Harrison Lidstone. In this live studio recording, I perform the vocal part, accompanied by Silvie Trinh on piano, Harrison Lidstone on guitar, and Claire Mussche on bass. My recording engineer was Grammy-winning engineer and producer Arne Frager.
