We are pleased to introduce a very talented artist/DJ and new face to the label, who took on duty to deliver NFR026, please welcome - Xima. Initially being obsessed with dancefloor oriented techno music, Xima shifted his production focus onto deeper and more experimental side of the genre.

His goal is to merge sounds of nature with synthesized soundscapes to create pleasant atmospheres accompanying with psychedelic tribal loops for trippier dance experience. The release contains 6 original tracks that perfectly represent the above statement from the artist, deep, floating, groovy music with some ambient motives that will occupy body and soul.

The work represents the suggestion of the iconography of the so-called Guidonian hand. Attending a seminar in the conservatory in December 2022 dedicated to the solmization codified by Guido d'Arezzo and putting into practice the mnemonic technique through singing, the hand assumes a new function of control and artistic-musical application. 
As the craftsman uses hammer and anvil to shape the metallic matter or the painter, with his brushes and bristles moves the said matter, the hand of the chorus director by means of his hand shapes that raw matter which is the intonation and the correct use of the choristers' intervals. All this is an extension of the abstract idea made real by means of the hand or the tools used for artistic creation. G Hand shows and represents the palm not of the director, not of the craftsman, nor of the painter, but a fragment of the hand of each of us. 
Individuals capable of generating beauty, or ugliness.
The color applied as the second layer on the glass represents the various melodic paths of the natural, hard and soft hexachords, which are emitted and prolonged over time like the sound of a string. The colors, through their luminescence, remain in the void of darkness, until they go out and die. 
The composition associated with the painting is structured using a metric pulsation of 5 and the length of the piece is a multiple, 25 bars. The pulsations are the abstraction of the 5 fingers of the hand, scanned very slowly that is a minimum half equal to 40 beats per minute ♩= 40. The piece is composed in a consequential way, the small chromatic cells from the soprano to the bass, contaminate in a counterpoint path, also through the use of polyrhythms and groups of notes irregular compared to the initial metric indication of 5. 
G Hand is one of my first and unpublished works where the synesthetic coexistence between sound and image has led to a balance useful for the continuation of my research.
