Since July 2022, Mademoiselle Chérie 🩸@dj-mademoisellecherie 🦇 has emerged from the shadows between life and death, performing in Mexico City at goth and alternative clubs such as The Real Under, El Centro de Salud, Bar Donceles, La Mezcalli, Black Centro Cultural, Dada X, Voodoo Horror Café, and Foro Bizarro. She is also a regular with DJ collectives like Dark Home and Sado Tech Events.

She has performed outside Mexico City in San Luis Potosí at Multiforo Sónica and Bóvedas Centro Cultural, and in Puebla at La Marcha Siniestra. Her DJ sets focus on Goth Rock, EBM, Synth Pop, Dark Wave, 80s/90s, Dark Techno, Hard Techno, and Electrodark, always open to new sounds and experiences.

Mademoiselle Chérie is also a performer. Her performances include elements such as blood, candles, lights, poetry, spiders, ropes, roses, and whips during her DJ sets. Her setlists aim to combine erotism, vampirism, and a dark atmosphere, where dance and sensuality are always present. She draws inspiration from key symbols of modern goth culture, such as Morticia Addams, Vampira, and Dita Von Teese.

𝑯𝑶𝑹𝑹𝑶𝑹 𝑺𝑯𝑶𝑾 #51 MADEMOISELLE CHÉRIE

Three years after his contribution to Banshees Records, Madrid-based producer Silicodisco returns to the Toledo-based label with a new release and a different ally. If in the first release he teamed up with Cantabrian producer Parissior, on this occasion he teams up with Luis Bonías, a veteran DJ and producer from the Valencian scene. Bonías, now under his alias Bias, has been involved in most of the mythical Valencian venues and has participated in and released a significant number of releases. However, although his records have diversified a lot during his career, this collaboration with Silicodisco confirms the potential of both of them to work with contemporary EBM or with the sonic qualities of industrial and techno.

With three original tracks and a couple of covers by two Spanish projects, Alen Skanner and SM Forma, this five-track collection explores very different perspectives and influences, although the result shows a great affinity between the tracks.

Industrial Walls Of Jericho, the opening track, exhibits a sound and style that fits perfectly with dark wave and industrial electro, however, Alen Skanner's version confirms that there is a context, which is further enhanced with this remix, more akin to goa or psychedelic trance, and indeed, Alen Skanner moves his version completely into this realm.

Primal Tension, the only track without a replica, is nourished by a forceful punch, the strength of the sub-bass and the bass line, although its development involves very disparate locutions, arpeggiated structures or evasive textures. As for Looking For The Residents Motion, the original cut is cerebral and architecturally twisted and complex. SM Forma also adds to the chaos with its remix, although structurally it is a much more ordered and dancefloor-friendly version.

The label launched in January 2019 and has featured a combination of singles and compilation releases with artists such as Sascha Funke, Curses, TAPAN, Damon Jee, Biesmans, Khidja, Italo Brutalo, Shubostar, Anatolian Weapons, and Tolouse Low Trax, to name a few and its objective is to promote positive social change and raise funds for our Sinchi Foundation, which supports Indigenous forest guardians in the Brazilian Amazon. Rolando Porro, based in Zurich, Switzerland, began his journey in the 90s, spinning vinyls at local venues. His sound is deeply rooted in the New Wave, EBM, and Industrial music of the 80s, alongside the vibrant Techno of the 90s.
Today, he's known for his dynamic sets filled with modern Cold Wave, Dark Electro, and Dark Disco tracks. Rolando draws inspiration from festivals and concerts all over Europe, all while being an active part of Zurich's thriving Black Scene.
