Hey I’m back !

As you may have noticed, I didn’t release any original track for 3 years.
I did not quit music production and I don’t intend to quit. I’m so happy to finally share new music.

This track is very personal to me. It's about starting feeling good and happy again. It's about feeling relieved after going through a lot for a long period of time. It's about looking back at my life when I was thinking that my problems would never go away, whatever I'd do to try to solve them, and seeing how far I've come. It’s about being optimistic, patient, and being grateful of simple things like breathing, being able to walk, being alive.

The past 3 years hadn’t been an easy ride for me but I begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It feels so good to start making music seriously again and to share it ! I really hope you'll enjoy this new track in which I've put my heart and soul ! More music is to come !

After a busy summer on the road, Silverlining launches Forgotten Chorus, a new imprint for deep, hypnotic and abstract body music. The idea was born at a festival, where low frequencies drifting through the natural filter of English woods prompted him to mentally fill the gaps of the higher registers. Three weeks later, he wrote ‘Salvaged Chimes (From the Rubble of Sound)’, an almost verbatim recreation of the track he’d imagined. For Silverlining, this moment of embracing discarded sound became emblematic of how overlooked voices, such as those of the oppressed and forgotten, can still resonate if we choose to listen differently.

This concept led to experimentation with flint-knapper John Lord and conceptual artist Antonia Beard, whose recordings he sampled of the ancient practice of striking flint, humanity's first technology. Those sounds were then cut and made into all the instruments, save for the TR-909, that comprise 'Attuned To Detune'. The EP’s lead track, ‘Folk Dust’, pushes high-tempo breakbeats through Silverlining’s own lens on UK broken techno, balancing raw energy with ethereal melodies.

Forgotten Chorus seeks to celebrate the beauty in sounds and stories that fall outside the dominant narrative. Its debut release, a fast-paced, three-track techno EP by Silverlining, embodies this spirit and marks another step in his evolving exploration of new sonic ground.

Straight Up is a songwriting, arranging and producing partnership between Giles Twigg and Mark Atkinson. 
Giles is an instrumentalist, music programmer, sound engineer and producer who over the years has worked with accomplished artists and musicians such as Mark Knopfler, Pino Palladino, Kenny Craddock, Julian Littman and Hugh Burns. He was also Gerry Rafferty's recording engineer and programmer on his last two albums – Another World and Life Goes On.
Mark is an accomplished singer/songwriter who has played across the gig circuit both in the UK and internationally, featured in musical productions and finessed his songwriting art over a number of years. Within their Straight Up partnership, Giles and Mark compose, arrange and produce a portfolio of heartfelt songs that is varied in structure, style and content.

I am a realist, an optimist, and a lifetime creative. Neuro-Divergent, INFJ, I see the world and process the moment to be awake and lucid. I seek, truth, peace, and love, reason and logic are the best frame, filter, and state to strive for.

An exciting feature of JAYMAK’s performances is the use of his own mashups and edits. His ability to create mashups and edits was recognised early on – in 2015 – becoming the weekly mashup creator for Nova 106.9’s radio show.
