First single in my new album "Make It Your Own". The concept for this album is following very popular key, tempo, Nashville number systems, and playing them in a way that is unrecognizable and completely mine. 

This song was written around a fire in Chicago with several musicians with three guitars,  just chilling. While I was playing with this one individual, hIs guitar was in Open D tuning, and I was on a 12 string acoustic, in standard. So I made a lick we both could play together with. Here it is. Wish Davy Dynamite would tag in on this one.

"Keystone Ave" is the street we were on. It just felt right.

I just like playing music and pushing personal growth. I'm an Exec Chef of multiple restaurants in Chicago, so this is to keep me busy and growing as a person, not just a professional. 

2021: Get on Your Feet album's concept was to learn how to capture sound, record, build depth, mix & master music. obviously, that is a constantly growing skill, and i needed to jump-start it. In previous years, I would play live and do session work for some recording studios. 2021 that ended, so I needed to invest in myself and learn that side of music making.  We learned a lot that year and made too many mistakes to count. 

2022:  To Convey or Envoke album's concept was to ignore the rules, take the most overwhelming emotional moments of that year, and turn it into music instead of words / talking about it. It's only purpose was to express or dig up the listener's feeling. Some happy, sad, excited.  All feelings are scary when they're strong. 

2023: I opened 4 restaurants in 16 months and had little time to be a human. So i learned how to play piano properly in order to add something new to future music. 

2024: Make it Your Own album's concept is the opposite of '22.  I am, and will be taking, the most popular key, tempo, chord structures, and play then in a unique way. Something unrecognizable from the dozens (more like hundreds) of other songs that are the same base on paper. Here, piano is the driving force instead of guitar or bass, as in previous albums.

Overarching goal / intentions:
To be able to successfully combine all three major skills into what will be 2025 / 2026. Properly captured & mixed,  emotion provoking / foot tapping, music theory accurate album with only myself to rely on. we'll see what I'm actually worth, then.
