I made a mistake on the title... "Everything I Say" is not freestyle, but the other three quick tracks are. "I Don't Think I Can" was fully on the fly, while the others had some starter lyrics. Either way, I had fun and hope you like it! (Also, these are included in the EP "Kick Me in the Back" on other platforms.

This one goes WAY back!  We did a split ep with Righteous Youth (they changed their name down to just RSY -- also this was Jason's band, he was playing guitar before he joined Dogwood on bass) at studio 82A in Chula Vista, CA.  This was when we had a manager who was trying to get us signed to Atlantic Records, so we were also in process of "extending" previously released track Pre School Days to be "radio length" for them.  The lineup on this recording is myself, Jayce on guitar, Sean on guitar, Shawn on bass, Russ on drums.  (Shawn left a little bit after we did this one, then Jason became our bassist starting with the Self Title album...) The engineer was Joe Sidoti, who would help us out by drumming on our upcoming Self Titled, independent release, while Russ went on tour with P.O.D. for the summer.  
     Produced by Marcos from P.O.D., he was kinda instrumental in some of my melodies and guitar licks on "Never Die" and "Old Friends".  Those two songs were then re-recorded on our independent album, (Never Die was re-re-recorded on our Tooth and Nail album "More Than Conquerors") and finally "Faith" was re-recorded much later on our last Tooth and Nail album "Seismic".  This was a fun little cassette we carried with us, didn't "release" it as something to sell, I don't think.  Maybe we did, I can't remember.  This track has all 3 demo songs on it.

Not For $ale began as a solo project during the pandemic. With the members of my former band, Neither Do We, confined and unable to continue our already 
well-developed work, I began experimenting with some existing compositions for fun. This creative process evolved, and I came to consider the possibility of a new project by adding a few new songs. This journey involved writing, composing, 
recording, and mixing—a significant undertaking for one person working alone in a modest basement studio. All of this work culminated in the creation of Home Alone.

In short, I recorded these songs just to show how I felt they should sound, so I could share them with Logan for our Smile602 songs, but I'm pretty vane and thought it sounded good, even with my many mistakes. So, I asked Konrad to add some awesome skate punk music to it, and now I don't suck! I hope.
