Happy Holidays to you all, here is a gift of the musical kind. This is a mash up of some songs that have really moved me. Also it is kind of a sound science experiment, its amazing and uncanny how some of these songs go together.

The first combination is my favorite song by Lusine "Twilight" mixed with Kollektiv Turmstrasse's "Schwindelig". Then we move onto the beautiful music of Akara with the song "Gelfling" mixed with Welder's "A Greener Land". There was hardly any editing done to combine these songs, its almost as if they were ment to be combined! 

Next we have Stimming's house masterpiece, "The Kiss" mixed with the intro to Auditory Canvas's "Mystery Trip". Eventually "The Kiss" takes over and we move onto one of my favorite producers Kettel, with the song "Shinusob" coming up under the Stimming's track. 

Prefuse 73 has an album in which he remixes a bunch of songs by the organic electronica group "The Books". Here is "Pagina Cinco" mixed with Eskmo's "Hypercolor" as it appears on the "Ancestor Mix". Soon after the songs converge, we have the timing of "Hypercolor" take over for an intersting effect. And to bring it all home we have Slacker's "Start a New Life" mixed with Eskmo's continuing "Hypercolor".  

I urge you all to check out these artists. They make incredible music. And if you enjoy their tracks, let them know and buy their music.

Been wanting to do this for a while, and it seemed like it would be a daunting undertaking, but seeing as Ableton & Soundcloud have donated some extra free space on here for a few months, I thought I'd better use it, and it all seems to have turned out rather splendid indeed. Three one-hour-or-so mixes and a compendium of some of my favourite mashups, remixes, edits and general insanity, or at least the ones that I could string together in some sort of coherant order. If you've heard me DJ at any point over the Kleptones lifetime, there will be more than a few familiar things here, for sure...

So here you go, nearly three and a half hours - 70 tracks and a few uncredited inserts and nibbles. And there still wasn't room for any Drum'N'Bass, or any mellow stuff... and I tried to limit each producer and artist to one appearance only (Tried and failed as a couple are in there twice...) - guess I'll have to pick all that slack up in future mixes, won't I?

 Hailing from the Netherlands, Bart van der Meer - known as Bart B More - has been a constant factor in the international electronic dance music scene for many years. His love for DJing and producing has taken him to every continent on the planet, leaving his audience with something to remember - or not to remember. 

Bart B More's genre-bending style has helped him to become one of the most renowned and respected electronic music producers today. He steers away from a traditional production formula to help create his own signature sound: A fusion of deep techno and heart-pumping electro, with an unusual swing in his drum patterns. His eclectic mix of synths, unparalleled sonic range, hard-hitting drops, and heavy bass lines have helped him to create a distinct and original style. The ability to make each beat, synth, and drop flow seamlessly together in his sets, has made Bart a well seen guest at events all over the globe.

Bart does not discriminate against mainstream and underground music, and prefers to draw inspiration from anywhere and everywhere: "The limitations and borders a genre can imply sometimes kills creativity in the producing process, and that's something artists deal with. I try to stay away from that mind frame, and just create how I feel." His non-commitment to any specific genre and ever-changing tastes make each one of his shows a whole new, fresh experience: "Every set to me is a challenge to entertain a crowd, to bring forward my musical taste but also read the crowds mood. In 2008, Bart found a new challenge in his decision to start his own label, Secure Recordings. Since then, the imprint has been an outlet for Bart to release his own music as well as share his various tastes and musical range. By creating Secure, he's able to showcase not only his own style, but also give new artists a platform to release their music. Bart is a firm believer in supporting new and up and coming artists.  In establishing the label, he's been able to give them a chance to make their mark in the industry. 

In addition to Secure Recordings, Bart has had the opportunity to release many of his tracks with some of the industry's top labels: Spinnin' Records, Boysnoize Records, OWSLA, Relief Records, Sound Pellegrino, Fool's Gold, and Trouble & Bass - allowing him to reach an even larger and more diverse demographic, thrusting him into the spotlight of many devout electronic dance music fans. 

Along with collaborating and working with major labels in the business, Bart has also written and produced for the likes of Rita Ora and Example, as well as remixes for Katy Perry, Cee-Lo Green, Tiesto, Chris Brown, Wiley, Galantis, Martin Solveig, Bingo Players, and Peaches amongst many others. 

In the future, Bart B More hopes to continue to have a key role in keeping dance music forward thinking, innovative, and open minded.
