Jungbauer’s artistic work - be it giving insects refuge in one’s apartment or malfunctioning but still self-regulating fluorescent tubes - is characterized by the radical acceptance of the other. As a member of the LAYTBEUIS collective, Jungbauer delves into the world of aging everyday machines, specifically fluorescent tubes. These works have been showcased at esteemed venues such as the Atonal Festival in Berlin or Haus der elektronischen Künste in Basel. As Raubjunge he has hosted a series of events called “furrows.anomalies” at Salon des Amateurs in Düsseldorf, in collaboration with Fourblockempire and Sad Sad Calzone. His DJ performances meander from rugged to gentle, dwelling in the interplay of gloom and playfulness. Opposites are brought together in contrast to enlighten each other. Longing, obsession, mania, and eccentricity, everything could be a source of beauty on the dancefloor. At best, like a good massage at a spa, one’s spiritual-emotional freedom to move is enhanced.
