El Viaje: inspirado por las sonoridades electrónicas con groove de América, encontramos variantes clásicas dentro del sonido de Electromanteca, que arranca con mucho bass para avanzar por un abanico diverso dentro del caudal de música electrónica. Nico (Electromanteca), cazador furtivo de ritmos que inspiren movimiento, nos propone un baile ecléctico a través de la Folktrónica, el Disco y un Electrotribal para levantar abuelas de la silla. Su intento por fusionar estilos es un desafío no muchas veces asumido y es quizás lo que resalta de su propuesta pues nos lleva a explorar las diferentes expresiones que tanto le apasionan.

Electromanteca (Nico Letelier.- 1987), artista chileno, su proyecto musical nace en Buenos Aires de la mano de las Fiestas Peput!. Un desmedido hobbie lo ha llevado a quemar etapas en la música a tal punto de haber tocado ya en más de 20 países con su proyecto de Dj y Festivales como el Exit! en Serbia. Su sonoridad es un complejo espectro de sonidos latinoamericanos fusionados con electrónica y música africana. En sus orígenes fue principalmente un artista caracterizado por su amor a la Cumbia Electrónica, movimiento cultural que se estaba desarrollando en ese momento en Argentina, pero pronto abarcaría más estilos, particularmente eclécticos dentro de sus sets, inspirado por estilos como el Afrobeat, Disco, Funk, y en su incesante búsqueda de un beat conMovedor y que estimule al movimiento.

Usualmente Sebuky solo reproduce sus propias producciones, pero para este set en especial que fue grabado en directo en una paradisiaca playa de la costa de Izmir, usó los teams de muchos de amigos productores y productores que admira dentro del género de la folktronica, y como costumbre le pone la salsa en forma de instrumentos tocados en vivo, en este caso una Tin Whistle (Irlandesa), Quena  y Charango ( de las naciones Andinas), además la introducción y el final son creados completamente en vivo .

 Usually, Sebuky only plays his own productions, but for this special set, recorded live on a paradisiacal beach on the coast of Izmir, he used tracks from many of his producer friends and others he admires within the folktronica genre. As is customary, he adds his unique touch in the form of live instruments—in this case, an Irish Tin Whistle, a Quena, and a Charango (from the Andean nations). Additionally, the introduction and ending were created entirely live.

This track was created over many very short sessions due to time being very limited right now. Minutes seemed to fly past and before I knew it it was night. The track tries to represent the darkness closing in, as the minutes fly past relentlessly, while I try to stay awake long enough to make some progress, before sneaking down the hall trying not to wake anyone up!

This is a live set from the chill room at the Cosmovision party. I was warned that, late at night, the people there might be in the mood to dance. Indeed, they were and the room got packed and heated.
The set started as a deep, immersive and hypnotic rhythm-driven soundscape. As it unfolded, the energy built steadily, fueled by driving basslines, until the dancefloor caught in flames.

Arumbo is the result of an artistic and musical exploration by Marta Meix Garcia (Barcelona) and Jonas Mertens (Brussels), inspired by the experiences, learnings, and emotions from this beautiful process called life. Since 2015, they have performed over 250 concerts on renowned stages across Europe and released two albums and an EP.

For their latest album, Mirada Transversal, they collaborated with Jairo Palchukan, an indigenous musician and multidisciplinary artist from the Kamsá community in the Colombian Amazon. This work is a more personal and introspective project, inviting listeners to connect with that mysterious space of spirituality we carry within.

On this remixes album we find a very fun mix of artists and ideas, a lot of Latin American influences combined with the new grooves from Spain, making an album that’s very deep, catchy and fresh in terms of sounds and rhythms, we are sure you’ll enjoy it a lot.

⭐ Cosmovision Records is a music label  founded by El Extravagante & Don Mescal and a collective of a mix of immigrants from Latin America, Europe and locals from Canada, based in Montréal, working together in a collaborative and inter-dependent way through a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary artistic platform.

We believe in the value of different cultures and diverse ways of appreciating art and the Universe itself. This way we created Cosmovision Records, to spread art inspired in a folkloric root combined with a contemporary perspective linked to electronic music and a positive spiritual approach.

Otorongo is the Quechua word for Jaguar, Curinahuel is the same in Mapudungu.

Otorongo is a music selector originally from Chile, currently based in Meanjin (Brisbane). His sets are meticulously curated to take audiences on a journey. Some times it might be a pleasant walk through mountain rainforest, tropical floodplains, or wherever your imagination feels the most comfortable. Other times a deep dive into the realm of the spirits, where light and darkness get confounded. 

Otorongo's sets are percussive, with exotic instruments and vocals, usually filled with nature samples, and always driven by ancient rhythms, carefully blended to ensure you feel free to dance. 

Expect from ethnic downtempo and folktronica to eclectic Afrofuturism, passing through deep tech.

He is co-founder and curator of ISU TAKI (@isu-taki), a collective that organises parties to promote emerging beats from Abya Yala (aka Latin America) and beyond.
