Like many, my journey started with big dreams as a child. I imagined myself as a musical genius, learning to play the recorder and later moving on to the violin and guitar. Back then, I had no idea how challenging the music industry could be. As life moved on, new adventures like jobs, holidays, and eventually starting a family took over, and my musical dream slowly faded into the background.

But the story didn’t end there. Over the past 40 years, technology has evolved in incredible ways, creating opportunities that were once unimaginable. Social media has reconnected us with old friends and memories, while AI and music software have revolutionised how we create and share music. The music industry, once an exclusive club, has had to adapt, leaving space for new voices to emerge.

This is where Logical Miracle was born, a collaboration between my love for music and the technical genius of my partner. For years, I wrote poems, not realising they were songs in waiting. Today, with the help of AI, music production software, and my tech-savvy partner, we’ve brought those words to life. The dream of working in a big studio isn’t necessary anymore; with the right tools and expertise, we’re able to create professional-quality music right from home.

Logical Miracle is the result of this collaboration. It’s not just a musical project, it’s a testament to the power of dreams and the possibilities that technology brings. What started as a simple idea has blossomed into something much bigger, a dream shared and fulfilled. Now, it’s time for our music to be heard.

From the vibrant heart of Toronto's world music scene emerges Ethnosonic, a groundbreaking ensemble founded in March 2024 by visionary composer Aslan Gotov and virtuoso bassist Viktor Khomenko. Joined by duduk player Sar Kamler as co-creator and manager, the band crafts an extraordinary fusion where Circassian, Armenian, and Ukrainian folk traditions collide with contemporary jazz and funk sensibilities.
The journey began with drummer Nazar Zymbovych and guitarist Inal Gotov, evolving to include the masterful reed work of Alex Boychouk, the rhythmic precision of drummer Adam Mansfield, and the textural brilliance of accordionist Val Chitac. This constellation of talents creates a sound that defies traditional genre boundaries while honoring their rich cultural roots.

In May 2024, Ethnosonic captured their first four compositions in a landmark recording session, featuring original works by Kamler with arrangements by Gotov. Their debut singles—the ethereal "Little Paradise" and the dynamic "Funky Sar"—were unveiled in late 2024, with the atmospheric "Swan's Dream" and the rhythmically adventurous "Mountain Dance" following closely behind.

The band's innovative approach caught the attention of the Ontario Arts Council, resulting in a prestigious grant in October 2024. This support fuels their current focus: crafting a debut album slated for mid-2025. Following their premiere at Toronto's Drom Taberna in October 2024, the ensemble achieved a remarkable milestone in January 2025 with their sold-out concert "Duduk, Jazz & Winter Nights" at the 389-seat City Playhouse Theatre, marking a pivotal moment in their rapid ascent.
At Ethnosonic's core lies a profound respect for tradition paired with an unwavering drive for innovation. The haunting voice of the Armenian duduk weaves through intricate folk rhythms and contemporary harmonies, creating a musical tapestry that bridges centuries and cultures.
