Madrid, Malmø, Motor City – the places that influenced the sound behind the pure Electro EP, „M-Technology“. The fifth SNC Recs release fuses elements from very different cities from all around the world.

The musician Dip Shim aka. Diego Ocejo unites on „M-Technology“ the Sounds of Detroit, his roots in Spain, and the current scene of Sweden. Dip Shim has many talents; in his formative years, he was active in the Graffiti scene and working as a graphic designer. Turning his lifestyle into education, he moved to Malmø, getting lost within the city’s artistic bubble. It was within this creative environment, that Dip Shim found a place to start a new project. Since 2020 he runs the record store called „Bolero Record-Store“ and started his own label „Malmø Traxx“. One thing is for sure – he knows what he’s doing. By the way, Dip Shims' first release on his own imprint was a top seller on Juno and sold out after only two weeks.

„M-Technology“ is for sure the perfect soundtrack for your favorite Graffiti Film or a rave night that will hopefully take place soonish. With his full analogue producing style, using legendary equipment like the MPC2000 and a selection of classic Roland drum machines, Diego created an outstanding 4 track, full Electro EP which will probably heat up a lot of Dancefloors in the near future.

Emerging from the heart of Brussels, Kiosk Radio resident and Queer Future Club founder Azo announces her latest EP ‘Astroculture’, scheduled for release on the German SNC Recs and following tracks on Correspondant, Astropolis and Biologic Records. The release features four vibrant original tracks and a stellar remix from the hugely sought-after DJ and producer Maruwa, taking listeners on an ecstatic journey through the realms of acid, trance, and high-energy rhythms. 

Title track ‘Astroculture’ kicks things off with intergalactic acid, deep pads and tight grooves before being remixed by Offenbach Frankfurt’s Maruwa, whose hypnotic reinterpretation enhances its already electrifying atmosphere via bouncing basslines, mind-warping melodies and tough drum-work. 

The euphoric ‘Galactic Gardens’ then races through the stars as its rich, alien-like arpeggios keep pace, with the club-ready ‘Stellar Plant Energy’ showcasing Azo’s extensive range of influences spanning electro, trance and the more melodic side of rave sounds. Closing out the release, she unveils the space mix of her early 2023 Correspondant track ‘Aquatrip’ - dropping the curtain on a conceptual, cosmic EP that skilfully blends myriad musical elements in a sound that is uniquely her own while exploring new possibilities for cultivating plants beyond the boundaries of Earth.

Attention, Electro-heads! SNC Recs is back with its first vinyl release for 2024, presenting a treat for all breakbeat enthusiasts with Friedrich Ernst's Breakthrough EP. The old-school influenced 12’’ is garnished by two high-grade remixes contributed by none other than the new-wave electro pioneers, DJ MELL G and Viikatory. 

Hailing from Dresden, Friedrich Ernst discovered his passion for electronic music at an early age. After relocating to Leipzig in 2020, he co-founded the label "Self Learning System" with DJ Unisex, focusing on releasing electro music and organizing events. Since then, Friedrich has honed his own style and established himself internationally as a label owner and producer, increasingly focusing on live performances.

His second solo EP, marked by his detail-oriented and uncompromising electro sound, fits perfectly into the SNC Recs catalog and brings a dignified start to the tenth series. Completing the release are remixes by DJ MELL G and Viikatory, each bringing their own personal touch to a different track

The paper was scrawled and stained with ink, it had been folded up, discarded and cast into the abyss in the hope that nobody might ever find it. It was littered with mistakes but now, now it meant something more to those who had discovered it many years later. For it told the story of a dance, a mysterious ritual by which people came together beneath the cloak of darkness to extend their knowledge and broaden their human communication. The music played and played, the letter was the final piece in the puzzle which might guide them back to this mystical place. 

Salomo is set to release a new EP on SNC Recs, a break heavy affair with wandering melodies, floating arpeggios and elegant dancefloor sheen. It's out on the 4th of September.
