The Magic Time of Year

This one started with the simple image of a heavy Chicopee snowfall, the kind that softens every edge and slows the world down for a moment. I thought it would be interesting to set that kind of cold, quiet scene inside a warm roots-reggae groove, letting the rhythm be the fire that keeps things moving. The bass is steady and relaxed, the off-beat guitar gentle enough not to overpower the winter mood, and the melody sits right in that reflective place where memory meets the present. I tried to bring out what a real storm feels like around here: neighbors checking in, lights glowing through the flakes, laughter carrying across the river. The track feels calm and bright at the same time, like a cup of something warm after shoveling the steps.
