There is a lot going on at the moment. Paul and Eli (but mostly Paul) are organising Urinevision 2023 (live on YouTube Friday 2nd June at 8pm GMT!) but Paul hasn’t got the time to mess about with all that “editing business”, so they’re going to deliver one of their patented “real time” episode. No cuts, no retakes, just 60 minutes of raw CheapShow action that dives into cheap spicy noodles, some limited edition flavoured soft drinks and, unfortunately, some bloody Durian Cookies. Obviously, this means this episode can’t end well. Will their stomachs survive the episode? Find out as the Cheap Chaps slap on the lapel mics and go a-wanderin’ around Eli’s abode. OH! We also announce the 10 finalists for Urinevision 2023 too! Listen in and find out if your track was lucky/unlucky enough to make it to the live show!

Ep 335: Down and Out in The House of Pickles

There are charity shop goodies galore on CheapShow this week when the Showcase rolls back into town. Paul and Eli have both found a little something special/unusual and have brought it along to CSHQ for discussion and evaluation. We “once again” get to hear about Eli’s upsetting obsession with Tomy toys and Paul “once again” dives into Saturday Morning TV for his own quirky offering. Grown men should not get this excited over pointless nostalgia that isn’t even theirs to remember! There’s a return to the Country Urban Noodle Test Lab Kitchen with an instant noodle that invokes fond memories and minor embarrassment for Eli too. Paul just wants him to shut up and get on with it. There is also a long-awaited tales from the Shop Floor with a particularly stinky celebrity encounter! Eli may have been given a pre-show dressing down, but can he really behave himself when Paul is acting like a proper prick… and will either of them ever get to nail the cold open this week? Why not listen to them try?

It seems that McDonalds wants to put an end to how we get our drinks...the horror!

Time is tight this week because Paul has no intention of spending hours editing the podcast when there is a trip to Los Angeles to plan! As a result, this is another one of those “real time” episode, one hour of solid, uncut, barely sensical, almost delirious, economy comedy action. What can they cram in to those precious 60 minutes? Well, firstly they try to guzzle down some unusual sodas. There’s a delicious new Mountain Dew to savour and Fanta have brought out another bloody “mystery” flavour? Can the cheap chaps figure it out? Of course not! Secondly, there’s a Price of Shite to tackle too! It’s rammed with awful items for Eli to guess the costs of. Finally, why is Paul acting like Eli and what is Cocklenuts? It’s a speed run version of CheapShow! So hold on tight, as once we start, we don’t stop until the hour is up!

Ep 355: Cocklenuts

If there is one thing CheapShow loves without exception, it’s Tomy toys from yesteryear! We’ve covered much of their back catalogue in the past, but this week we have three items that are very beloved. Paul and Eli get to tinker with kitties in a Water Wonderland game, battle sharks with the Tomytronic 3D “Shark Attack” toy and take on the challenge of Screwball Scramble: Level 2! How will Tomy fare? Only CheapShow has the answers! Also on the show, we wet our whistles with three soft drinks, two of which will probably be godawful, and investigate “milky straws” that are filled with candy flavoured beads. Will they make the milk better or worse? We sample two new “Candy Cans” but it’s almost a foregone conclusion that the cheap chaps will not take kindly to them. Maybe Eli’s new Red Bull (sigh) will save the day? If not, don’t worry, as Eli is obsessed with making crude jokes involving genitals and types of fish. As you can expect, Paul isn’t too impressed, but despite suffering from food poisoning whilst recording, he’s going to have to craft a gag to appease Eli before the day is over. Oh Joy!

Ep 400: This Is NOT Episode 400

Bubbles Up

It was a mistake to record on one of the very hottest days of the year. However, the show must go on, even if involves sitting in a small room as the heat melts Paul & Eli’s brains. Paul does have a plan though! He reckons after a slew of epic length episodes; they can afford to throw out another “real time” 60 minute romp that should make everyone happy. As an extra bonus, because it’s so ruddy sweltering, why not spend the episode drinking nice, cold and hopefully refreshing drinks that have recently come their way? It’s a win/win. Let’s just hope these drinks are worthy of quaffing during a heatwave and aren’t a bunch of cheap, nasty bottles of garbage. And what’s this? A new character? Oh dear god, how bad does this episode of CheapShow get? It’s time for a proper quenching!
