This kicks off my 'Improvisations on Rainy Days' album that I will slowly release over the Summer!! I really wanted to release music even though I am doing an internship at Hans Zimmer's company and am pretty busy, so I hope these intimate tracks will suffice until I can work on a bigger album in the Fall!  As always thanks so much for all the support!! When the full album is out it will be available on all streaming sites, but for now I will release the tracks on Soundcloud, Youtube & Bandcamp until it is complete :)

Leaving

This is a purely piano song I've had for a long time that never felt finished that I just added the intro and hook into that finally made it (and by "it" I do mean me and the song) feel complete. 

I've always been inspired by good motion picture scores/soundtracks and instrumentals from movies like "Road to Perdition" "The Last Samurai" and even back to the early 90's with "Top Gun" and "The Bodyguard" (two of my favorite movies). 

I've always loved this song and have sat on it for a while since I used it in a mini-documentary/biopic in college. Hope you enjoy and find comfort/solace/peace in it...

Brock Hewitt is the founder of Stories in Sound Studios based near Toronto, Ontario. He is currently working out of Canada after interning at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control Productions, which was an integral part of his development as an aspiring soundtrack composer in the early years. Brock focuses on creating powerful music that seeks to replicate the depths and intimacies of human stories and emotions. Each composition is hope-filled, story-driven and intentionally crafted. Some compositions are rooted in simplicity, harnessing raw, vulnerable beauty. Contrast that with impactful neoclassical, cinematic, and ambient works at the polar end of the Stories in Sound musical repertoire.

Born and raised outside Chicago, IL and now living and loving life in Denver, CO. Personal Trainer/fitness geek who loves making music. Started learning guitar at around 12 years old and now still going at 29. I've dabbled with electric/EDM before but this is now a concerted effort to produce electronic music that I would listen to and hopefully others will too. A lot of influences but really enjoy things on the more chill-step side which is probably apparent in my productions. Vocals and some samples from Splice* but a lot of the times I'll take samples and tweak them, filter them, modify them to get the sound you hear as well as integrating my keyboard/guitar work here. Enjoy!
