Berklee Spring ‘24 Songs for Social Change Contest (S4SC-24) Invited SoundCloud Finalist 

Hi there! My name is Miriam. I am a singer-songwriter from Seattle, WA with a penchant for rambling around the US. I take much of my inspiration from power house songwriters like Joni Mitchell, Fiona Apple, and Tori Amos. 

This song was written about the experience of growing up and falling in love as queer people in a fundamentalist religious community. It is a protest song against outdated and stifling belief systems. A reminder that love and spirituality belong to everyone.
